Cast On Fall 2018: A Review

Cast On has released its Fall 2018 issue. Let's see, shall we?

Austrian travel knit hat. Classic cable covers.

Bavarian shirts for babies and children. Overall pretty good, but would definitely fix those sagging shoulders.

Ballroom Cardigan Basketball. I'm not particularly interested in the gingham life in this pattern. It looks awkward. I'm going to reduce the depth and do a finish that fits the wrist. The detail of the sleeves is enough to wear this design.

Bavarian column socks. These are the cutest socks I have seen in a long time.

Bavarian monster hat. Bells with very attractive ropes. Although it drew a bit, it seemed to have formed a headless horseman.

Brand sweater. He didn't like it very much, but there were changes that would help. I'm going to fix the shoulder of the bag, perhaps with a more finished edge, and I won't use white, cream or any other light colors in this design as the main color. In my experience, adding color to a light background never works, because the float always appears, as you can see here.

Bird lover robe. This is fine work, not to mention a lot of work, as these are lace weights made with size 0 knitting needles. The shoulders are a bit saggy, but I won't fix that because I think they work in proportion to these. . design.

good contemporary. I'm not selling a color palette here, but it's a beautiful traditional design and can easily be turned into a more attractive striped color or even a solid color.

Three-way hood and headband. These pieces have a very nice texture.

vora. Oooh, it's great and quite portable. The body is double-strand knitted to be opaque, while the sleeves are sheer, and the neat lace at the cuffs and bottom give it a nice look. Maybe I should do it myself.

Honeycomb net. Some pretty stitches that deserve better color than this dirty mauve.

Reversible cable sleight of hand scarf. Some good cables work for this.

Hard sweater. I like the sleeves and side train, but I'll use the finish line and neckline instead of the one used here.

Morro Bay Golf Club deck. It is very well made and any golf club with this set is sure to be the best dressed club in town.

Orbit. It looks nice and moderate.

Patrick's jacket. I love this stitch.

Triple cable fabric. Good part overall. I'm not entirely sure what happened to the mid-arm line effect, but I'll remove it anyway, because it looks weird and creepy.

Tulip Garden felt hood. The design is great, but to others this motif looks more like a tulip than a radish?

West wind. Beautiful classic sweater.

Zigzag-zaggy jumper. I have to give this "not bad" warning because I see so little.
