Creative Knitting Winter 2018: A Review
Creative Knitting has released its Winter 2018 edition. Come on, shall we?
towing bell. Attractive and usable. I don't like detailed bracelets.
McDowell vest. Draped front sweaters can be a hassle, but they have a great fit and even casual style.
Spiced pear tea cardigan. Classic cable knit cardigan.
jacket saves. This one has great yarn work. It's like a pattern of different styles and they work perfectly together.
western stables Not great, a bit bad.
Dunbar sweater. I kinda like it, and it's a little different with the stray effect of the cuff and hemline.
Canyon Retreat. This one has beautiful shapes and nice details and the collar fits perfectly.
Vancampin vest. A contemporary wearable piece.
Earl Gray hat and scarf. Nice scarf and hat with some details that go with almost any coat.
Disadvantages of pillows and throws. It's a pretty nifty effect. The pillow and blanket combo really makes it stand out.
Manchester litter. The stitching is beautiful, but the threads used in this project are unnecessary. The color corridor was so muddy and cloudy it was hard to make out the design.
stretch scarf. Not a bad little deal.
Plum blanket and pillow. Nice blankets and pillows, but thought I'd do something different with the pillows by sticking them to the comforter better. If I want a solid gray I do it with a yarn stitch and if I want to use plum and gray I do it with a two-tone stitch used in the center of the quilt. Alternate bands for both models can also be a great alternative.
Engelman's hat. It's a little spicy.
Fletcher Tam This is a very nice piece although I wish I could see the pattern on the hat better.
Liebreak hat. Beautiful hat!
Werder hat. Not half bad.
