Knitscene Fall 2017: A Review
Knitscene has released a Fall 2017 edition . Let's take a look at that, shall we?
Spice jacket full. Sometimes I say in my comments that this thing belongs to a mother of seven in a tired home school. This is undoubtedly a design from a book like this. In this case, the mom didn't bother getting dressed, she just threw a tight, baggy sweater over her pajamas and at the end of the day they applied some peanut butter.
Arkins Pancho. I'm not a fan of gowns, but I love sewing because it's cool.
Ash cardigan. It didn't seem like a particularly happy wedding between an '80s Shaker costume and '90s grunge style.
Blake Schole. Here is the cover design. The structure is wonderful.
Brighton hat. nice hat.
Cardigan pepper and pepper. The seams on the front and the covers are nice and well built, but I worry the pattern is pulling or catching the edge of each frame.
Cranberry cardigan. It looks awkward, and rude.
Navy cardigan. It looks like a bag attached with a drawstring.
Cardigan Hills. This two piece flat top is a combination of the top and bottom of a cardigan. And I like this idea, but I want the bottom half of the jacket to fit better.
Logan meat. Simple and useful pair of gloves.
Cardigan October. It looks like a bag attached with a drawstring.
Cardigan seeds. It wouldn't be too bad if the fallen shoulder was straightened, but it's nothing special.
The nut bar likes its texture, but I don't like that unfinished screw-on rim. I'll leave a seam allowance for this crown.
Weston socks. Classic ankle socks. Which I wouldn't tie with a pair of ankle straps.
Blurry white cardigan. These are some beautiful details. The back looks great. I still wish my body was a little better, but it's good for inexplicably brittle buttons.
Wynkoop covers. The cuffs of these shoes are not as bad as their heels and ribs, but the cuffs in the shoes will make the wearer look as if they have encountered a horde of mice.
