Knitty First Fall 2017: A Review

Knitty published the issue in early fall 2017 . Let's see, right?

Anchor. Not bad. I don’t like these unfinished edges, but they aren’t visible when the hood.

Folkig. Beautiful. The raw effect is very appealing on the hood.

Write. He’s not too impressed, though there’s nothing wrong with that. The best and smartest color palette will make this design more attractive and cohesive.

Room Lamina. Now it’s something else, even if it’s so different that I don’t know how far you can go. I would feel silly to wear it, but if you cut off the back to the same length as the front, and remove the crochet balls at the back, then this part with a rather strange condition is just unique. I like the shape, the interaction of the lines and the way the hood folded at the back attaches to the front of the scarf collar.

Collar and tie. As I discovered while researchingan article about knitted ties a few years ago, knitting ties is hard right, but I have to welcome this design. Looks as good as a rag.

With long wings. Wow, delicious. The amazing shape and embroidery of this scarf sits so well and looks great.

What the world needs now. While I welcome the mood behind these earrings for gay pride (and the fact that the stylist donated the fees she received for the sample, to the ACLU), I don’t know if I can support the punishment . I don’t think yarn makes decorations attractive because it can never completely replace the look “made from a decade in day camp”. I’m going to replace the rainbow of threads in these earrings with a rainbow of beads.

vis à vis. I like the idea of adding a zipper to the hood, which gives it a modern look that goes well with modern clothes such as a motorcycle jacket. Balaclava does not look so good when it is tied in open knots and worn in a long loop around the neck, but balaclavas usually do not look very good.

Her scarf. Beautiful knitted scarf.

Slow extinction. Some amazing shapes and stitches.

Vincumum. A beautiful pair of lace socks. I will lengthen them a little on foot.

Pink window. For me, as a lover (and master) of stained glass, brushes with stained glass effects like candy. Very nice hat.

Bosco. This is an original interpretation of the classic panel tights. I like the combination of traditional style with modern minimalist style.

Glycine. A very nice classic item that sits well, though I’ll be adding buttons and buckles all over the front bar, not one at a time.

On the other hand. This is a beautiful and comfortable product, but I would not remove the lace model from the sleeves, as it creates the effect of falling shoulder, and makes the sleeve sharper on the edge of the shoulder.
