Love of Knitting Winter 2017: A Review
Sweater Love released the winter 2017 version . Let's get a look.
Bohuslan jersey. Overall, I really liked it and came up with the idea of including the chevron details in the body of the sweater and often using a stockinette rather than a yoke, which can be fun and unique. The seams work in the body, making everything drain. The smooth stitching adds nothing but gives the chevrons a slightly messy effect.
Claire sweater. This is a pretty good piece. Cut out, but not because there was something wrong.
Cliffs of Moher West. not bad. Something like this can come in handy when a woman is making an effort and looking for a diaper to match her flared shirt.
Hood of Connaught. beautiful. But you can hardly go wrong with a cable cow.
Furuset Gingerbread men. Absolutely, but I find the facial expression slightly different. The pink spot should be on the cheek, not on the tip of the cheek, unless I've been putting my courage in the wrong place for the last three decades.
Jagodi Mittens. Overall good, but I will add some caffeine. The edges look a bit unfinished and one of them is folded over.
Jurate Coal Here is a beautiful embroidery.
Jersey Kattegat. Ah, I like it. It is very light and comfortable, but the collar, armband and belt make it special.
Ruhnu short sweater. A cropped length, like in this pattern for kids, will show off any cute shirt you wear underneath, but it will have a "ruffled" look.
sandwich powder. I love this whole concept and the shape is good, but somehow it doesn't hold up very well because the colors seem to go badly together. I think I can combine it into two lines instead of three using the primary color option and using the contrast color and edge coordinates.
Scalloway sickle. This is a beautiful shawl that can be made into a simple dress like this one.
Shaul Scapa Flow. I do not like him. The texture is good and I like the yarn used here, but it looks gaudy in the three professionally designed photos on the Ravelry pattern page. This heavy packaging doesn't seem to fit.
Scarf Sherkin Island. Attractive and classic packaging.
Sweater Skellig Michael. beautiful. I wish I had enough neck to dress like this!
Svalbard Hood. I love the beautiful island and the color palette here, but those lovely stocking stitch lines are not in the ribbon. It looks like a bag wrapped around a rope.
Shaul from the Tarfala valley. Expenses! I love the edge and how the left side of this shawl goes well with the right side.
Hood from Yale Island. Another interesting item with interesting embroidery.
