Messenger Bags That Send a Message

Today we're looking at a selection of shoulder bag designs from The Knitting Needle and Damage Done . This article is the latest in a series of articles on select bag designs that also includes clutch/wallet options, women's bags , tote bags, and backpacks.

The first messenger bag pictured above was the Sun Satchel , designed by Stephen West. I love the Sunburst design and Westerners don't take it too literally.

Damascus hidden Kauni bag by Karen Stelzer. This bag is not to be underestimated, it is too beautiful to go unnoticed. And it's a free template!

Woolly Bully bag by Lori Puthoff. Here's a modern classic. The decorative brooch on the cover is the perfect finishing touch.

Maple , designed by Susan Todhunter. As a Canadian, I'm culturally obligated to like this (and I included it in the Canada Day special feature , by the way), but I figured I'd do it anyway.

Tree of Life felt bag from Jenny Williams. It has a subtle charm. The design of Stitchwork Tree of Life is as attractive as ever.

Circling Infinity Bag , Jeanne S. Abel. These are simple, attractive and practical industrial straps that add shine and you will see these pockets where everything is in place and at an affordable price.

Sarah Hatton's Andi messenger bag displayed at Rowan Felted Knits . Beautiful bag with a little texture.

Lucca by the Berroco design team. A beautiful bag, although I probably would not indulge in pom-poms. This is a free template.

Shoulder bag by Julie Weisenberger. I love how this bag is designed to complement the straps. One of the reasons it's always a good idea to purchase items like suspenders, buttons, and other fasteners before you start knitting a project is because you can customize your project based on those items. .

Knitted Navajo Churro bag from Susan M. Stroun. I think the combination of the diamond theme and the stripe suits well.

Shoulder bag by Cherie Clarke. Use stripes and colored blocks in this simple yet fun game.

The Dawn Leesman Triple Pocket Bag comes in a smart casual knit: a stylish design for men and women . He is very smart and can easily become a commercial producer.

" Old School " by Lori Birek published in Picture Perfect Knits . A modern take on the Argyle pattern.

Check it out, Sue Hanmore. You can't go wrong with a good cable.

Lovely flannel bag from Maggie Pace. This designer used a cut-out appliqué on the lining to visually connect the wool and lining, and added some embroidery to make the look even more special. Good move!

Signature bag from the Berroco Design team. This is best seen visually.

Not Just a Baby Bag , Nora J. Bellows. It should really be a diaper bag with a design that matches the make-up bag and changing mat, but certainly as a really good bag, it will come in handy for parents when the baby grows up, or for non-parents at any time. Given the structure of the lines, this could be a good game of hide and seek.

Stripey Noro shoulder bag from Deborah Cooke. Very beautiful arrangement of lines and free patterns.

Classic bag from Tina Barrett. This is a beautiful interpretation of the Chanel design. Although I would recommend using a button for this project better than this regular dead plastic button.
