Noro Magazine Issue 13: A Review
Noro magazine published its thirteenth issue in autumn 2018 . Let's see. Note that for some reason Ravelry has 11 master pages in this issue, and even five of those 11 pages have no images on the design pages and one (#03, textured raglan) has two design pages, so I can only present. Contact Ravelry for ten of the 36 examples in this review.
#01, Leaf Afghanistan. This is an interesting and unusual concept.
02, Mosaic Pancho. cute and attractive.
#03 Structured, threaded raglan. Very attractive and comfortable to wear.
04 Sweater with threaded rod. There is an interesting line. I wanted to see it from a different angle before signing it, but it seems like a unique and interesting work.
Vest 05 with diamond plates. Very seventies but wearable.
06, striped cardigan. Very well.
07, diamond screw cap. Classic striped knit hat.
#08 Fingerless Gloves. A decent pair of gloves. I love the soft gray tones of this yarn.
#09, title. I like the threads used in this work.
10, pillow. The color play of these two cushions makes it, because technically the two could not be simpler.
11, A scarf with triangular ears. Dessert!
12, scarf. Very pretty.
13, spicy poncho. Not bad in terms of design but I thought I would use a different color than brown for this project as the brown thread makes this poncho look like an unhappy smiling face.
14, Ruan Plaid. Excellent embroidery although feels very heavy to put on. I want to put it on the sofa.
15, poncho with fringes. Not bad for a poncho and the embroidery is good.
16, fold the chevron. More beautiful.
no 17, Afghan grandmother. The colors on it make it attractive.
#18 Afghan Granny Blanket. I really like this triangular block concept for Afghan clothing. It's a refreshing change from the regular box, and the resulting rough edges look great.
19, circle scarf. I'm waiting. i will destroy it
#20 Round Scarf. I'll have that edge. The scarf should look like a shawl, not a pattern that wraps casually around the wearer's neck.
21, chrysanthemum shawl. It looks more like an Afghan dress than a shawl, although it would be a nice wool shawl.
#22, flower bag. Very cheesy for my taste.
#23 Block Structure Jumper. Not bad. This may be due to the finished shaping of the waist and skirt.
24. Sweater with a slanted yoke. Dessert.
25, Structured sweater. Straighten your dropped shoulders and compose the image and get yourself a decent sweater.
26 Short-breasted sweaters. I really like the guide plates on the front, which is an interesting concept that works really well with this strap. I'll straighten my hunched shoulders.
#27 Loose textured sweaters. Some are big and some are messy. Guess what it is. And a mark on the shoulder in the middle of the arm, I sighed. If you clean it up, it will become a very interesting turtle.
#28 Oversized Upper Cable. Still very tall and very low on the shoulders, but also looks good.
29, beach bag. Very cute boho bag.
30, grandma's square bag. I don't think there's anything you can do to make it look old and vulgar when used in clothing and accessories with Grandma Square.
31, tunic. A high waisted main card that looks best on different yarns.
32, sweater. This has to be the same yarn I really liked and still love in #09, Cowl, but I'm definitely sticking with it.
33, cardigan with collar. Nice casual jacket.
34, vest. Dumb and dumb.
35, Long shirt and veil. I wouldn't call it a "long sweater and hood". I would call it a kaftan and then take it off.
36, jacket. I'm not a fan of this unstructured draped cardigan, but it's pretty good on its own.
