Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 63: A Review
Today we look at Rowan on Knitting and Crocheting 63 .
Nabila. I like to sew and they will confuse the pattern of recovering these fallen shoulders a lot, but I still can’t do it because these sleeves look so short. If I had to change this pattern, I could choose an odd sleeve, remove the loops from the body and run the pattern under the sleeve. But then you can decide if you like the loose shape and you can do it the way you want.
Delft cardigan and skirt. That's great. The shape of the cardigan and skirt is beautiful and the blue floral pattern on the white background, inspired by Delftware, looks great.
Definitely. Very simple but effective color block effect and good shape.
Sorry. This striking pattern may look Afghanistan, but this designer goes one step further with sewing and weaving techniques, and the result is an elegant and modern cape.
Example A chic reinterpretation of a classic striped sweater.
Taiba. I love this coat with its elegant colors and lots of striking seams. It doesn’t do much to a belt. Enlarge the waist, replace the collar with something more appropriate, move the lace buttons slightly higher and lower the waist.
dodson Tanke simple and well built.
Moorcroft. Nice detail - interesting side details - but I'll add some spices to fit the waist.
Bath. Very nice bag, crocheted in boho style.
Stafford. I don't care. It looks rough and zig-zag
Waterford. His motive is very charming, but the form of crushing does not flatter this professional model.
kayla Lace is wonderful, but again I don't think the surplice wrapper works well. It’s hard to get the print out, I know I did both, so I wasn’t happy I disassembled them again.
Spod Love The modern look of the model is bold and interesting to see the model and understand what it is.
Kalikoa. The hidden layer effect of this pattern is creative and interesting, but I can’t help but think that it would work best with Afghan wool because of the heavy effect.
Gianna. Although they try to style this piece, it still looks like a random elastic band hanging around the pattern.
Porcelain. The “Tipot and vase” motif is fun and engaging, but the shape is not flattering.
Beswick. Pretty useful but I’ll add more buttons, because that lone torn button looks very lonely. No, I'm not a projector. Thank you.
Hasina. It is a basic toast, but can be used and used as a well-fitting basic garment.
minton I love both the color block effect and the cross stitch / point of this piece. The design is also good.
Fame. I love the idea of a tight body combined with the details of the shoulder and sleeve, but here I want to make a seamless wheel to get rid of that unfortunate seam in the middle of the piece and smooth out the body.
Wedgwood. Wedgwood, Spode, Delft, Minton, Porcelain, Waterford ... Rowan has a real spin with this number, we haven’t had one with the others. I'm not complaining. I love beautiful tableware and porcelain motifs are a great source of inspiration for knitted designs. I liked this design a lot, although again I would have chosen the construction of the seamless sleeve instead of the dropped shoulder seam. While fitting the shoulder seam in this particular sweater will be quite a challenge, you will probably want to do something similar if you don’t have enough experience.
diam. Interesting but neutral skin. I like the combination of texture contrasts.
Havilland. Not a bad tunic, although I would like to stop at the pony.
Eshan. I love the madras plaid effect on this crochet shawl.
A classic charcoal cardigan with interesting and unusual structural seams.
Saguna. It’s as simple as it sounds, but sometimes a simple sweater pattern like this is the perfect choice for a beautiful thread.
Tan , Song , Min . I love these three pillows, but I'm not sure I'll use them together. I would probably choose a design that contrasts the colors of the first and second pillows and one that turns the number three pillow into a solid color or accent.
Lanika. I like the body motif but it seems unfinished. The edges of the edges always make you feel a little overwhelmed.
Ainslie. Bright graphic effect. I can't wait to see it in a different color.
Elena. Great, even if I want to see how those first edges are there and how they landed.
Humanity. Mosaic is an interesting combination of seam and color blocking, though I don’t think this color combination fits the design.
Berlin. An interesting and useful summer card.
Janan. The shape of the shoulder / side has not been successful, and the sleeve looks like a mutation.
Dust. This crochet cardigan looks stylish and modern.
Guyana. I can’t imagine a case where I would wrap a knitted ribbon around my jeans and call it a skirt, and for obvious reasons that “skirt” doesn’t dress very well on its own.
Stupid. That's nice. Crochet-shaped round islands remind me of sucking squid , but in a more positive way.
part. This tank has an attractive color and seams without any adjustment problems. Nice piece for summer.
