Six Years and Still Counting Stitches

Today is the sixth anniversary of knitting needles and corruption! Sometimes I publish themed articles for birthday gifts that year, but (traditional) or candy (modern) iron 6th birthday gifts really inspire me. I think I could write an article about using Steam Lock, but ... meh. So the bottom line is that we're really looking forward to this year's memes, which may not be so funny, and here are some of my thoughts on the occasion.

As for external identifiers, this blog has continued as usual this year and has been published regularly to address chronic fatigue issues. When I publish regularly, the blog gets 1,000 page views a day and has reached nearly 2 million page views since its launch. The Dawn Knitting Needles and Damage Facebook page works really well, with more than 15,000 likes a month, or 15,000 years, and this is what I've been waiting for a long time: fun and exciting things to talk about and enjoy. Interesting and funny messages about punctuation. Although it has more followers than me, the page's activity is much better than the more popular Point magazine's Facebook pages:

The KNDD group I founded at Ravelry two years ago has more than 330 members. I also use Pinterest and Twitter , although I use these two accounts to promote this blog as much as I use them for personal matters.

Looking back over the past six years, it seems that the most important result of my blogging efforts has been the impact this blog has had on me . On the one hand, I still admire him and enjoy his work. Learn, evaluate and document my thoughts on the latest designs and concepts in the world of punctuation that I have never mastered. Second, I learned a lot from my efforts. Skills have improved a bit - my rule is to try to learn something new from each project - and I'm happy with the materials I've developed because I've generally identified my tastes and learned a lot about them. Likes, dislikes, what works and what is useless, as well as how to complete a single, versatile and all-encompassing wardrobe. I no longer shop to convince, but I plan carefully, decide exactly what I need or want, and then fix or buy the right things. It is strange that today I spend very little money on clothes, I am in better shape than in 2012. (I sigh without shoes. For a while I did not understand how to buy quality shoes). I dress as much as I can.) And in addition to entertaining my readers, if I can help my readers learn a more important and strategic approach to my knitting projects and wardrobe plans, it will save me money. Give them money, be happier with their projects and shopping, help them dress better, look better, and reduce their impact on the environment, then I have something to be proud of.

So this site has served me well in terms of impacting me and hopefully others. But I don't know how long I will stay on the blog. The site did not succeed financially. He earns hundreds of dollars a year, which is not good for the time I spend - about a dollar an hour, maybe less. When I have less time during the day, when I have the energy to focus and be productive, and when I don't make money (and I'm actually living off part of the money I borrow), maybe I should invest. In something that gives the right time. I'm still not thinking about throwing the needle, but the only thing I can do is re-evaluate next year.

If you want to help your knitting needles work and wear out, here are a few ways you can help. On one side there is a bonus button on the side panel. If you read the site regularly and can afford it, consider offering an annual or biennial grant that allows you to renew your subscription to the magazine of your choice. Let's say that if 80% of my regular readers pay $ 25 a year, I can earn my share of the site. If you are a regular reader but are struggling financially and are unable to donate, continue to enjoy this site. I'm glad you're there because other people provide their website content for free

There are other ways you can help me, whether you forgive me or not. If you are shopping on Amazon.com, looking at the Amazon link on my sidebar or any other Amazon link on my website means that I get a portion of the value without you paying. I am sure that sharing the blog link on your social media accounts and informing other weavers about it will also help increase my readership, which will bring me more advertising revenue over time.

Finally, thank you to everyone for reading, watching and commenting. One in return for your interest in the blog and your feedback and promotion. Here, we lose at least another point a year!
