Vogue Knitting Spring & Summer 2019: A Review
Vogue Knitting has released the Spring/Summer 2019 collection , but before we look at design, I'd like to point out that Tricia Malcolm is leaving longtime Vogue Knitting editor at MezCrafts to take on a new position at parent company Rowan. themes . After over twenty years at Vogue Knitting , she wishes him a career change! I know I'll never forget when I saw a guy named Trisha Malcolm on this blog's Facebook page in its first year because I knew her name right away but thought it couldn't be *he* Trisha. . Malcolm, how did you say "yes" when you proved "yes"? It will also be interesting to see how Vogue Knitting changes now that someone else is in charge.
No. Model 1, ear-shaped shawl. Suitable for the bride!
Style #2, striped lace dress. Simple and portable. I think adding a belt to the look was a good decision, because without it, the waist line would look a little loose and wide.
Style number 3 with a diamond-shaped jacket. Nice view and air. I would shrug my shoulders and play with the sleeve length, which seems a little awkward, but perhaps if the owner added an observatory-sized hat, as in this example, no one would notice.
Pattern number 4, patchwork crochet. It looks a lot like lipstick to me, although I have to admit the strings are good and the craftsmanship is an achievement.
Model 5, lace mini dress. There is a boho-chic style here.
Style No. 6, short jacket with bows. It is a shame to organize - this professional model also cannot work, despite all efforts. We can change the pattern for more accuracy...or we can use a different knitting pattern. your call!
Model No. 7, embroidered shawl. This is a good napkin, although there are better combinations of threads and beads.
Style No. 8, pink cardigan. This is a beautiful thing, very gentle and romantic, with a certain color and melody, but, unfortunately, it very vividly reminds me of the pink cross-stitched Aida bouquet that I gave my mother when I was 17 years old and then fell off. Wash them in the washing machine only once, although I told them that they are not machine washable, we will probably understand everything if you move on to the next review, no matter what.
Model No. 9, with loops at the top. Cute little summer top with cute stripes and seams.
Model No. 10, asymmetric tank top. Sleek and modern.
Model No. 11, tank with photo. This is very reasonable. It's a place where modern 1930s sportswear meets in a modern way, and it's a delightful combination.
No. Model 12 V-neck top in this minimalist casual style.
Jacket cropped # Model 13. It has a striking open lace effect, but I can't help but tremble at the thought of how it will all hold up . I would shrug.
No. 14 styles, flirty blend jacket. I love everything about this vibrant Fair Isle design, except for the open crocheted lines, which I will replace with something solid. Today, the design needs a backing, which limits its use to summer wear.
Model No. 15, square T-shirt. I like this one, with its visible layers and free side. It was certainly better than pairing it with a skirt made from used metallic wrapping paper.
Model 16 top mounted. I really like this one with its funny striped eyes, edges and tie details and it definitely deserves a better color.
Style No. 17, sweater with a patchwork yoke. I like the concept here, it's very modern, but the edges of the previous patches are incomplete to really work. I will win one way or another.
No. Model 18, striped jacket. These mesh pieces are very similar to an online shopping bag, but not really suitable for fashion design.
Model 19, Tangram dress. "Ooooh!" This caused a great uproar. When I first saw him on Vogue Knitting . Nice lines, a design that can't be overlooked, it's eye-catching and can be worn. I can't say the color scheme does much for this, but it will be something to see on the Ravelry template pages for this design in six months.
Model No. 20, jacket with lace earrings. This is a Vogue Knitting piece from spring and summer 1999, isn't it amazing how modern it will be twenty years from now? This is what I have in my personal library for points, I bought a room in my time but never did. Even though he looks great in a yoke, I'm worried about a full body modification - he has a DK weight and that extra thing would be great. However, since this item fits into a circle and has a lace pattern around it, it will be difficult to find a way to shape the whole body (probably changing the flat stitches at the underarms and needing uncomfortable side seams). probably covered by his generous stripes.
No. Model 21 floral jacket. very good!
