Cast On Summer 2018: A Review
Cast On has released its Summer 2018 issue. Let's see, shall we?
angelic. I love the texture, but the oversized cut shape is hard to spot.
Butterfly ashtray. The designer of this piece wrote that she created this design because she needed a long sweater to wear over a sleeveless dress in the summer. It looks like a useful piece, and the nice texture and folds in the back add style.
Pillow with a bow. not bad. I think these decorative bows will get on my nerves when I try to rest my head on this pillow, but in reality, this pillow would be almost completely decorative. I will use more interesting threads.
Camila. This one has beautiful embroidery. I would tend to drill the hole a bit to get rid of this top a bit of war air.
quest cardigan. Very simple but very practical and cool. I will do this so that the leading edges overlap to remove the gap between them, because gaps between leading edges always create an awkward "too small" appearance.
a kite. Here we have a cover, very attractive, in the Art Deco style.
Drunk snake. Classic braided scarf and tie.
Autumn cowboy. not bad. I feel like this project needs a different color palette because these twisted papers are like fire.
Faux shearling pillow In fact, this is a true version of a sheepskin pillow. And I imagine it is also convenient, depending on the thread chosen.
First Saturday (for girls). This is not a bad dress. I would say that the color scheme does not suit her, and the rosebuds on the chest should be on the front of the dress, not behind.

First Saturday (for mothers). The lines of this sheath are beautiful, but I reject the rosebuds completely because they look too cute for a mature woman's dress. If you want to decorate this dress, I will try double stitching around the hem and neckline, or make the dress with a more interesting thread.
Fishing in France. Here's another version of the classic Breton jacket. not bad.
Cellular jacket. Classic honeycomb jacket.
Cordia leaves. A very attractive pair of socks. And this photo is a welcome explosion of color - so far this issue has been ignored.
Lorelei handbag. I love it on the outside, but wish there were more photos because I have questions about how this carrying case is made and whether it will retain its shape when worn as a carrying case. If it does not fold well when lifted upright, or if it rotates every time you put something on, it will not work as well as a clutch.
Miss Nancy necklace. It is not very similar to a real piece of jewelry, but more like the decoration of a knitted sweater, which decided to strangle the owner secretly.
Loose summer lace blouse. Good thimble. The wearer is more likely to want to lay it over other clothes, so it's worth considering if you want to put it on in the summer.
Tea roses These are beautiful leaves and beautifully drawn rosebuds, the best I have ever seen.
Extra wide jacket with synthetic braids. Very similar to this one, it's really beautiful and unique in a bias-knit sweater.
Cardigan West Village. not bad. The embroidery is interesting. I like to widen the edge of the neckline and narrow the side in front of the buttons and buttonholes a bit.
Crooked socks. Very nice pair of chevron socks.
