Cast On Summer 2018: A Review

Cast On released its Summer 2018 edition. Let's see, shall we?





like an angel. They love the texture, but it is difficult to transport these large eggs.





Butterfly towels for children. The creator of this fabric wrote that the pattern was made by himself because he needed a long jacket to wear over his clothes in the summer. The shape is like a drawstring bag.





Pillow with bow. That is a good thing. I thought the decorative bow would annoy me if I tried to lay my head on it, but in reality these pillows are almost entirely decorative. I'll use a more interesting thread.





Chamomile. This one has a great design. I want to stretch the neck a little more so that the fresh air from the nostrils doesn't get into this upper part.





Chasing the vest. Very simple, but quite useful, neat. I'm going to do this to make the leading edges match to eliminate the gaps between them because the gaps between the leading edges always look awkward, "too small".





Comet Here we have the shirt look: it's a very interesting art deco style cut.





Drunk snake. Classic cable scarf with suspenders.





Colet case. That is a good thing. I feel like this project needs a different color palette as this curvy craftsman looks more like fire.





Fake sheepskin pillow. This is actually a true sheepskin pillow shape. And I can imagine that it's also practical, depending on the yarn you choose.





First Saturday (for girls). This is not a bad little dress. I would say the color scheme is useless, the pink beads should be on the front of the dress not the back.

First Saturday (for mom). The lines on this cover are beautiful, but I would skip the rosebuds altogether as they are too pretty for a grown woman's dress. If you want to jazz up this dress I tried duplicating the seams around the skirt or neckline or dresses with more interesting threads.





Fishing in France. This is one of those classic Breton sweaters. Not bad.





Mobile Sweaters. Classic plaid sweater.





Mr Cordia! A very nice pair of socks. And this photo is the long-awaited splash of color.





Lorelei's Pouch. I like it from the outside but would like to see more pictures as I have a question how tangled this clutch will hold if held in place. If it bends slightly when held upright, or if it doesn't hang when something is placed on it, it doesn't work as well as a clutch.





Miss Nancy's necklace. It was no small piece of jewelry and more like a knitted sweater that decided to sneak up on its owner.





Free cut lace summer top. Not a bad shirt. The wearer may want to wear it over other outfits, so it's worth considering wearing a stripe in the summer.





tea roses. They are highly trained rosebud masters.





Very wide satirical sweater with stripes. They look very similar, which is really amazing.





West Village Vest. Not bad. The stitching is interesting. I'm going to widen the neckline by pulling the string a little tighter at the front button: eyelet.





Zig Zag Redux socks. A very nice pair of socks.
