Cast On Summer 2019: A Review
Cast On has published its summer edition 2019 . Let's see, right?
Bowl of ant eggs. I hate using knitted fabric towels (which look hard to me, very rough and dirty compared to J washable fabrics) and I do not particularly like tying insect eggs with dish towels, but this stylist gave him a chance. Try something new with this project and the other two fabric patterns in this number with hemp yarn instead of the usual cotton yarn. It was changed, he wrote, that the fabric "dries quickly and washes dishes very well, and that our prototype does not stink. It would also be very effective for exfoliation!" If you like crochet towels (and many people love it), you may want to try hemp yarn next time.
Almost no chevron scarf . This is an interesting lace pattern, though this color scheme can not be said to be true to the design.
Woven basket with headband. If it’s light pink and brown, it looks like something out of a ’80s workout video and should still be there.
Bubble, bubble, bubble. Big!
Britton's scarf. I like this contemporary feeling.
Cable shaft connection. The stitching is nice and fits well, but it is not always comfortable to wear the bottom with a sweater, like this sweater.
Clara's jacket. This jacket has a great shape and finish, and the simple embroidered dragonfly has a nice touch.
Cover with a twist. It's not a bad design at all, but it looks at me from the inside and makes me nervous.
Hemp top. It's not a lot of fun, but it can be seen strangely .
Easton jacket. Here I combine the booklet with Art Deco details and this theme.
Fibonacci striped sweater. This is a very unusual color combination and works very well, especially when paired with saddle shoulder construction.
Rep Zappia Fisherman Stadium. Simple and classic play corner scarf.
Deer circle. not bad. Colored toys and honeycomb stitches work well.
Nice. I like this color block dress more and wanted to see it in a fun color combination.
Summer end with hemp. Here's the boring double-breasted jacket in this collection combined with a skirt reminiscent of a 1940s lampshade. Although objectively there is nothing wrong with the jacket or skirt design, I'm not sure these two pieces would match with each other, they do not seem to combine stylistically and certainly are not. Each sample of them is in a set of colors.
Gloves with a twist. Here is the hooded glove version above. Still not bad in terms of design, the interior still makes me shiver.
Monaghan. I usually easily sell sky cable designs, and this jacket is really nice and attractive.
Storm Rain is a simple piece of fabric with a touch of color block. Working.
Curry lace towel with turmeric. The combination of saffron and curry colors gives me a bit of a retina, but I like the ones used here.
Flexible polygon variable. not bad. I like the idea of using a line in the middle to create a transition between two blocks of colors.
Centuries-old orange jacket. Here is the shell design and it is a good choice for her because the shape and embroidery are really good and the result is beautiful, especially in this Robin blue egg.
Basements and summer bases. I saw them very attractive in a cozy and handmade way, and I saw them on a sunlit breakfast table with cups and similar sandstone discs.
Crooked kitchen towel block. I like this point.
Top and bottom cable hoses. A very interesting pair of socks, I like the pattern of the connection between the wires used in them.
Waffle socks. I love the look and feel of this, with its fun mix of scissor and striped bags.
