Cast On Winter 2019-2020: A Review

Today we looked at the designs for the 2019-2020 winter issue of Cast On magazine.

Knotted side cushion. It is a machine-woven model, although it can be easily made by hand. Although I love checkered ribbons and pearl lace tops and ribbons, I find the combination of all of them very fresh, but of course you can always skip the unnecessary details.

Skirt with twisted inserts. Knitted skirts tend to be noticeable, and I’m afraid that might be the case. I would love to see this design in a real person before I dare to do it.

Calipso Moon. It is very beautiful, although there are more interesting and complex color schemes.

Carrie Tonic. There’s nothing wrong with wearing a warm, comfortable winter sweater, but I’m not sure I need those long side slits and I’m wondering if there are any muffs at the bottom.

Color Joy gloves. They will be good hunters.

Davos. Classic and very stylish turtleneck. This necklace fits well and is in good shape.

Entrelac necklace pillow. He looks like a clumsy pillow loser who would make fun of all the other cushions on the couch and throw them out.

Folded faux skirt. This skirt has very nice lines and fits well. It deserves more tidy buttons than this.

Wrench with keyhole. I prefer the design, but the color palette doesn’t just burn the retina.

Armenian lily jacket. The combination of triangle / diamond and fleur-de-lis patterns is a rare combination of patterns, making the jacket look rather quirky.

mugueia is not wrong. I think it should be worn on a top if it was wool, unless someone was knitting it with cotton for the summer.

Muscular t-shirt. It was designed to be a custom men’s blouse, but I can’t imagine a man I know would be willing to wear something like that. In fact, my life is full of modern and torn men.

Folded lace jacket. Very attractive part. This back slot is completely visible.

Quinn. Brioche and entrelac are a mix of technique, so if you love the technical challenges and excitement of choosing an interesting color palette, this project may be for you.

Set of double-sided knitted towels. Looks like it comes from a trendy home improvement store and will give your table a new, expensive bohemian look.

Hood Smores. Beautiful - The design is smooth and pretty and the colors are beautiful.

"Kosik" polka dot hat. Pretty! I love the sleek look of the slip-on seam, which is above the usual stretch on the head and shoulders.

Square pillow with buttons. I don't care - it looks very stiff and textured - but I can admit that I'm not a big fan of it, because I'm very inclined to look like that.

Top Super Bingo. This jacket is a bit boring and unattractive. To be honest, it probably looks a little better in a way that really fits, but it’s almost nothing special.

To ease Cole. Attractive as well as quite attractive.

Triangle shawl. It’s a very beautiful work, and it looks like it belongs to one of Bronte’s heroes. I don’t think it would work for my wardrobe, but I’m sure there are women who like the little Victorian style of their accessories. Tip: If you have to do it yourself and come across Rochester or Heathcliff while you're dressed, keep looking. You can do better.
