Cast On Winter 2019-2020: A Review
Today we will consider the design of the winter issue of Cast On magazine for 2019-2020.
Lace ribbed pillow. It is a machine knitting model, although it can be done easily by hand. While I love the checkered stripes and side flaps of the beads and the ribbon itself, I find the combination of all these elements too complicated, but of course you can always omit any details (details) that seem superfluous to you.
Hull with cable panels. Knitted skirts have a sad tendency to turn pale, and I'm afraid it might be one of them. I would love to see this picture on a real person before I dare to make one.
Crescent of Calypso. She is quite beautiful, although there are more interesting and complex color solutions for her.
Curry Tunic. Not bad for a warm, cozy sweater meant to stay at home in the winter, but I'm not sure if I need this very long side slit, and I suspect a mullet at the ends.
Joy color gloves. This will make a good ghost hunter.
Davos. The turtleneck is classic and very charming. This collar looks good and looks good.
Relaxed neck pillow. It looks like a clumsy loser pillow where all the other couch pillows are mocked and prone to astrocism.
Skirt with artificial folds. This skirt has very nice lines and hangs very well. It deserves a more elegant button than that.
Scarf with keyhole. I quite like the design, but the color scheme does not just burn the retina.
Armenian lily sweater. The triangle / organ and lily pattern combination is such a striking combination of patterns that the resulting sweater looks a bit odd.
Kandish. Not bad. I think it should be worn on top if it is made of wool unless someone has tied it with cotton for the summer.
Muscular shirt. It's designed to be a custom top for men, but I can not imagine any man I know would be willing to wear such an outfit. Of course, there is a sad lack of stylish, torn men in my life.
Pleated lace vest. Very interesting part. The back fold is quite striking.
Quinn. It's a combination of brioche and interlake techniques, so if you like technical tasks and enjoy choosing interesting color schemes, this project might be for you.
A set of double-sided knitted napkins. They look like they were bought at a home improvement clothing store and will give your table an expensive bohemian look.
Butter hood. The color design is very good and soft and smooth and the color is good.
"Kosik" point-to-point hat. Very pretty! I like the glossy ribbon type with shaving stitch, which is a head above a regular elastic band.
Entrelac square pillow with buttons. I do not care - it looks quite rustic and neat - but I can also admit that I am not a big fan of entrelac, as it has a strong tendency to look like that.
Super Bingo Top. This sweater is a bit boring and out of shape. Honestly, it would probably look a little better on a model that actually fits, but it's nothing special.
cole card. Interesting and a little interesting too.
Triangular scarf. This is a very beautiful piece and apparently belongs to one of Bronte's heroines. I do not think I will be able to make it work with my wardrobe, but I'm sure there are women who like a bit of Victorian style in their accessories. Tip: If you have to do this for yourself and run into Rochester or Heathcliff while wearing it, keep searching. You can do better.
