Creative Knitting Autumn 2017: A Review
Creative Knitting has published a fall 2017 issue. Come see.
Cabin game coverage. This is one model of the exhausted category seven homeschooling mother. I think I would have liked it more if it wasn't so blah and personal for something else.
Upper cabin set. This is one of the models from the category "tired home educated, exhausted mother, who lifts the baby in a sweater and is too cramped to care for". I know this is more than a little unfair because I have one thing for people with imperial wide waists because they make me look so stupid. Trying to be more objective, I think can be a useful and comfortable part for women, whose figure suits them best. And that in turn means you have to spend money on this process.
Brulee Cream. This is more of my idea of a loose-fitting sweater than the previous two. It's eye-catching, has eye-catching details and construction and has leeway without overloading it with excess material.
Upper Ellie. It's pretty and classy enough, but I'd improve on the shoulder bag.
Ipanema. The caption for this section says: "Always a flattering attire, this wrapped vest emphasizes the user's natural waist and bust line." I can't say that I agree with this. Sweaters and dresses with rolls have an unseemly reputation in the fashion world for being easy to wear and flattering. I haven't had any packaging work for me - cutting or adjusting is always wrong and it's a daily chore to keep things in their place instead of keeping too much stuff in the window. Apparently, the double-breasted vest wouldn't match the model either. It looks heavy and feels thin, and the underside and sleeves look unfinished.
makes me blush. I really like this, it's a nice touch on the cuffs but I'm going to change it up a bit.
Black and blocked. It has an ominous shape and a soft, unfinished look.
party on the street. This one is pretty sharp and has a nice shape, though I thought I'd skip the white coating on the edges of the sleeve or maybe I'll flip it over and stain the cuffs with all three colors.
valley. The discussion went on to say: "Glossy yarn adds elegance and grace to this elegant bag worked on intarsia cord straps." I can't say that this clutch looks classy, elegant or sleek. It looks more like a little pillow you'd put on the couch than an evening bag you'd carry with you if you wore black and pearl gloves. When knitting evening bags, I use fine silk threads and don't include too many great details instead knitting something that looks like my meeting will take me off the couch all night.
A fun hood, thick and fast and with unlimited hoods. I agree with the name of this group. This is a fun and intelligent group.
Graphic crow's feet. Delicious portions! I like to play with possible color schemes in my head.
Striped asymmetry. I prefer this one which has a nice visual flow. A different color scheme will do more for this.
Nobis Wrapper. Great top job.
linear elements. I love this contemporary atmosphere and graphics.
Fog. I like this scarf's gradient effect, but the edges look too raw for my taste.
Lozonjare Orchid. The fun and interesting part.
