Creative Knitting Spring 2019: A Review
Creative Knitting has released its Spring 2019 issue. Let's take a look at all the soft sweaters inside, given that at the time of writing this review, I was lying on a side table with a hot cup of tea on a cold January day in Toronto, writing with a slightly numb hand to my ear until He tapped. door because my oven isn't working properly and I'm waiting for someone to show up to service the oven company. In other words, it was very difficult for me to tune in to look at the pattern with light pom-poms for warm weather, but I tried my best, as any knitwear benchmark should.
Jumper on restraint. Beautiful and comfortable top.
English jacket. It's not unattractive, but because of its transparency and long slim fit, it can make it less comfortable to wear and less attractive to many women.
Scarf Lipson. Some very good points in this regard.
Theresia T. I can't say I care about her yet.
coat head. Beautiful lace and drapes well.
lace scarf. I am sure that this flower will give me a feeling of “the curse of a disgruntled witch” and leave me with a chronic fear that I am only two minutes away from becoming a giant helpless mush rooted in the land of beasts where my old clothes grow.
Oak scarf. The beauty. You can't go wrong with a classic lace scarf.
Taconi jacket. I really like this look, apart from the knitted flowers on top which seem elegant. Ignore that and you've got a beautifully tailored asymmetrical oversized cardigan.
Briarfield Festival. I can't follow a pattern that has too many fabrics that are too big. This is an unattractive offer. It does not work even on professional models.
Cardigan and Bristol blanket. Not sure if this kimono is supposed to be long, but other than that it's ok.
Copeland cardigan. Not my favorite cardigan but I have to admit it suits me.
Cardigan McKinley. Not bad, but I'll fix a fallen shoulder.
Cardigan Baycrest. Cute little spikes. A very summery play of colors.
Lavier shrugged. It has the appearance of "collected heroes".
Bisfield Blues. I prefer this when it's a solid stocking stitch rather than a partial mesh. A clean stitch always looks like a hopeless shopping bag, as it did for me. Also, you might get weird tan/sunburn while wearing it. Ask me how I know.
pink scarf Another very interesting scarf.
