Creative Knitting Winter 2018: A Review

Creative Knitting has released the winter 2018 edition. Let's see, shall we?

bell jumper. Attractive and wearable. I like to add specifics.

McDowell jacket. Draped cardigans can be problematic, but they dress well and have an air of comfort too.

Spicy Pear Tea Vest. Classic cable knit cardigan.

Stop the tunic. There is excellent cable work in this work. It's like a model of different models and they work together as a whole.

Allyn jacket. A small topper is not bad.

Dunbar elastic. I like it a lot, it's a bit different with a fake bend effect on the wrists and skirts.

Kenyon's jersey. It has a good shape and nice details and sits well on the neck.

Van Camp's vest. Wearable and modern piece.

Earl Gray hat and scarf. An open hat and scarf that goes with almost any coat.

Koonce Pillow and Throw. This is a very noticeable effect. The pillow and blanket combo really does it.

Manchester shot. The stitching looks good, but the thread used in this project doesn't help. The color scheme is so muddy and confusing that it's hard to make out the design.

Olentangy tjalie. Not a bad dress.

Plum blankets and pillows. Nice blanket and pillow but I think I'll do something different with the pillow to make it match the blanket a little better. If I wanted a solid gray I would do it in a sock and if I wanted a plum and gray I would put it in the two tone lace used in the center of the quilt. Alternate lists of two designs can also be a good option.

Engelmann cap. It's very strict.

Fletcher Tam. It's a nice piece, although I'd love to see the hat pattern.

Leebrick Chapel. Sweet hat!

Werder's cap. Not half bad.
