Knitscene Fall 2018: A Review
Knitscene published the fall 2018 issue . Let's take a look at this, okay?
Francis T-shirt. Not bad. The placement of these open center braids on the sleeves gives the classic cable sweater a modern twist.
Jumper and Felicity. Cute. I like the inclusion of lace in the cable design.
Greta Cardigan. Another beautiful modern model in the cardigan with rope, but that would fix the mullet edge. There is nothing modern or cute about mullet.
Lucy sweater. I like the Art Deco atmosphere that comes out with the detailed fringes and cuffs on this dress, but I would fix the hanging shoulders.
Olivia's sweatshirt. Quite smart and bright.
Cardigan Susy. Really attractive and portable, with an interesting detail on the cable on the back. I'm thinking of doing it myself.
Natalie sweater. The designer tried to introduce some asymmetry in this detail, but was unable to achieve the necessary counterweight to the asymmetry. With one sleeve on the wire and the other plain, and with all those pieces of wire in the lower two-thirds of the body, it feels heavy.
Eleanor Mitens. They are so big and clumsy that they look more like oven gloves than cold weather gloves.
Wendy Cole. Cute. This is a graphically gorgeous model.
Margo Hout. To be honest, this number seems like an expanded hardware store number that the editor decided to include (and, more inexplicably, a fake clothing style) because they did not reach the model quota for that number.
cat sweater He has a sweet, cheerful and youthful appearance. Good shapes and colors.
Cardigan Ingrid. This would be a useful top coat for fall. And a way to enhance the user's day if you choose such an attractive color.
Agatha should. Very nice stitching on this. It's like an art print.
Beatrice Sweater. I like the concept of the lace insert, but not the part of the lace that hangs down the edge of the sweater body. Looks like a bug. I would adjust this so that the sweater has a flat edge around it.
helen cole Very attractive stitching and I like the combination of turquoise and copper.
(To date, at least, there is no Ravelry page for this cover, or the following three.) I like this one, which looks like a seascape.
I also like this one with its simple but effective point.
A sling neck is a great way to display self-breaking thread.
I like the combination of tea, lime and white, as well as knitting with garter and knitting stock. They work.
Claire sweater. Some nice yoke details on this and the shape is perfect.
