Knitscene Fall 2018: A Review

Knitscene released their Fall 2018 issue. Let's see, shall we?





Francesca sweater. Not bad. Cable management in this open top brings a modern twist to a classic braided sweater design.





Sweater Felicity. Beautiful. I love the touch of lace in the cable arrangement.





Greta cardigan. This is a nice modern take on a woven vest, but I'll touch up the cartoon edge. There is nothing modern or cool about the mule.





Lucia sweater. I love the art of decorating the string device on this device և the detailed clasps, but I'll fix the bag's shoulder later.





Sweater Olivia. Smart enough և brilliant.





Susie cardigan. Really attractive և portable, with an interesting detail on the rear cable. I would consider making them myself.





Natalie Troy. The designer tried to add asymmetry to this piece, but was unable to achieve the balance needed for the asymmetry. With woven jersey, the other arm flat, with all the thread details under two-thirds of the torso, this one looked sloppy, underweight.





Eleanor Mitens. They are so big and thick that they look more like potholders than cold gloves.





Wendy Cole. Beautiful. This is a graphically impressive example.





Margot Top. Frankly, it looks like a long-term savings that some publishers have included (an even more inexplicable style like a prairie dress) because they didn't reach the quota for this release.





Cardigan Kate. It looks cute, fun, young. Beautiful play of colors on horseback.





Ingrid West. This will be a useful shirt for autumn. And a way to brighten up a user's day when they choose such a bright color.





Agate scarf. It was very nice. It's like an art print.





Sweater Beatrice. I like the lace insert idea, but I don't like the lace hanging off the bottom of the body of the sweater. It doesn't seem right. I will close it so that the sweater has a smooth edge around the entire perimeter.





Helen Cool. It turned out very attractive, I like the combination of turquoise and copper.





(At least at the time of this writing, there are no Ravelry pages for this header and the next three pages.) I like this one, which looks like a seascape.





I love its simple yet effective cleanser.





A pillow is a nice way to showcase self-healing yarn.
