Knitting Traditions Fall 2017: A Review

Knitting Traditions released the fall 2017 edition. Let's see, okay?





Jersey Aviator. Not a bad piece. The perforations and leather laces give it an honest touch. I was keen to straighten my shoulder pads, perhaps experimenting with the effect of replacing a leather cord with a net.





Camera Box This is fun. These vintage camera bags are usually smart and handy bags, so why not an expensive version?





Crystal Palace Zapia. This charming shawl is inspired by the famous entrance to the Great Gallery Crystal Palace in Victoria, England. I don’t think Prince Albert expected his big projects to continue to inspire creative artists a century and a half later.





Cuirassier jacket. This sits badly and swells in the front.





Plane bolero plane. Beautiful piece. I love the steampunk atmosphere.





Engraved cover. In good condition with some architectural threads.





Hobergen sweater. Wear a classic outfit with beautiful details on the sleeves.





Incognito leggings. This looks like a toilet paper chair.





Jacquard throw covers. It also reminds me of toilet paper food, although in this case I like the contrast effect used here to be non-slip and I would be very interested to see the effect in a different design.





Cashmere scarf. What a great job.





Manchester jersey. Beautiful piece. I used to make this piece with a softer wool yarn than with a cotton yarn (which tends to have a much softer feel) for a more romantic effect.





Morris Flower and Fine Mets. It’s kind of sewn, I like the pretty patterns on the back and the lace is beautiful, even though I’m a little lost in what you wear with them. I think it would look good with someone in a romantic and bohemian outfit.





Nottingham stockings. Oh, I love these plaid socks with their fun and sporty feel.





samurai hat Another beautiful lace, so versatile that it can be used as a hat, coat or cap.





Cap. Fun, engaging and fascinating.





Just like you. The attractive glass-inspired tam looks good from all angles. I’m not too crazy about the color scheme, but it’s easy to fix.





Steampunk t-shirt. I love this person. The design is excellent and the gears are well designed and intelligent.





Mille Miglia portfolio. It is very beautiful and will also be useful for Victorian fashion lovers, steampunk lovers and those who just want a luxury bag.
