Knitting Traditions Fall 2017: A Review
Knitting Tradition published an fall 2017 edition. Let's see, right?
Aviator sweater. This is not the bad part. Leather collars and belts give it a slight edge. I would be interested in fixing the drooping shoulder and possibly testing the effect of replacing the leather belt with a belt.
camera case. It's fun. These vintage camera bags are often smart and useful bags, so why not the Hipster Knit version?
Crystal Palace Scarf. This charming scarf was inspired by the famous entrance to the Crystal Palace at the Grand Exhibition of Victorian England. I do not think Prince Albert expected his magnificent project to inspire creative artists more than a century and a half later.
Cherry jacket. This one sits very badly and comes forward.
Bolero flying machine. The good part. I like the stumpunk atmosphere.
Engraved packaging. Nice coverage with some architectural cables.
Haubergion sweater. Classic and comfortable dress with beautiful details on the sleeves.
Incognito brace. Those feet require toilet paper.
Jacquard shoe cover. I also remember the toilet paper pads, although in this case I like the reverse slip knitting effect used here and I am very interested to see the effect used in other designs.
Kashmiri handkerchief. What a beautiful job.
Manchester Jersey. The good part. I would be interested in doing it with soft fur instead of cotton for a more romantic effect (which is usually nice to look at).
Maurice meat and wine. It’s a little quiet, I like the nice print on the back and the nice lace, though I don’t know what to wear. I think they would look great on someone in a bohemian romantic dress.
Nottingham Socks. Oh, I like these stroller socks with a fun and sporty twist.
samurai hood. Another beautiful lace, and quite versatile as it can be worn as a veil, poncho or veil.
Hood beetle. Fun, interesting and spectacular.
Shebeke there. Tam is inspired by eye-catching stained glass windows that look great from all angles. I'm not very enthusiastic about the color scheme, but it is an easy adjustment.
Stamped jump. si. The shape is good and the gear pattern is well thought out and smart.
Wallet thousands of miles. It is fun and will be just as effective for those who love Victorian costumes, steampunk fans and those who just want a nice evening bag.
