Knitty Deep Fall 2017: A Review

Knitty has published the deep fall 2017 issue . Let's see, huh?

Pistachio saffron. This should be a knitted version of the sweater. Not bad. It looks restrained and comfortable. The designer suggests that if you do not want it to be that wide, resize and / or remove the A-line missiles.

Hostcappe. It's just a rage of models.

Glasgow. This is a fairly small number.

Alicorn. Classic and cozy hood.

Cascade. It is comfortable to wear, has a modern look and beautiful details.

Turbulence. I do not know what to call this job. Scorpio would be fine, but it is larger and offers more radius than the usual shoulder lift. "Shoulder Sweater" is quite real, but it sounds a little silly. "Thin chains" or an abbreviated version of "slanket" (a sleeveless blanket) may be another idea, but even more stupid. Set aside the question, though I do not think I will wear this product because I like knitwear to have a clearer shape and structure, it is a good thing with layers that can be worn very comfortably.

Boo Boo. This design has its origins when a stylist made a sweater, he did not like how the sweater sits on the model, so he cut it at the end. No matter how much I hated to stand in the way of creative efforts to save failed designs and avoid costs, and as fantastic as the jackets and wavy fringe were, I do not think the redesign attempt was entirely successful. The bottom is very reminiscent of a redesigned knitted sweater. I will redo it a bit, deactivate the hand sewing line that holds it together and insert the chains or buttons, or completely skip that front edge and keep the round pattern strong.

Vilvarinda. It can be worn as a skirt or scarf, and I like visually interesting lines and colors.

Habanero. Oooh, good part. She has a fantastic shape, is flattering and will look great with lots of outfits and on many occasions.

Cowichan golwe. This stylist came up with this hat and hood because she wanted to use the Cowichan knitting technique she learned in class (and even wrote an accompanying post about the history of Cowichan knitting). I would say that these products are a worthy addition to the traditional style of Cowichan sweaters.

High voltage. The first remark that came to my mind when I saw these socks was that they were perfect for a date with a Flash Gordon fan, but when I looked at them up close, the power chain started to look more complete. . I think they can still be worn on a date with Flash Gordon fans, but ... maybe not on a first date? But it is certainly your decision. I do not know your life.

Lesula. I really like these that look like old elegant and stylish suits.

Welcome. This is what they wear to organize a dinner where you want visitors to be a little confused and disoriented. Or if you are a manic brunette girl and everyone knows this is just the norm.

A little fantasy. The clothes were designed for the stylist's mother, who told her daughter that "he is no longer normal and will now wear clothes that will not even try to be normal". (Which is really amazing and reminded me of Alison Lurie's wonderful little essay about the day she left fashion at the age of 60. Don't embarrass my kids. ”Of course, her mother loved her sweater, and grandchildren would not mind seeing a grandmother in it, but I do not think the stylist managed to create a subtle design. The amazing design requires uncompromising grace and a bit of interior logic as this design plays discreetly and classically and with shame offering some unusual details.

I will do so little here and there. Throwing and embroidering on the body are amazing. I like the vintage details, the front clips and the silver buttons on the cuffs, so they fit as well. The bag is the same color as the main part of the coat, it just looks faded, so I would make it a different and contrasting color or the same color as the main one. Backing up the lace on the hem and in the garden is a good idea, but it's very stylish for sweaters, so I'll knit them with a fun contrasting color, maybe matching the color of the bag. I'm not enthusiastic about this back collar, its rounded sides or the way it stands on the front, so I think I can change the shape to a square collar and maybe add embroidery to match what it has on purse.

Round carpet. This little knitted rug is delightful in itself, but I still see it as a modern dollhouse style rug and not as a kitchen table rug. But then I know neither your kitchen table nor your dollhouse.

dendritic. Exactly. They are attractive and practical and expand very quickly.
