Knitty First Fall 2017: A Review
Knitty has released the 2017 fall issue. Let's see?
Ankyra. Not bad. I don't like those raw edges, but they don't show up when the hood is lifted.
foggy Very nice. The lacy effect is especially interesting on balaclava.
Diapers. I was not very impressed with this work, although there is nothing wrong with it. Better and smarter coloring will make this design more attractive and unifying.
rhombus sheet. It's different now, even though it's very different, I don't know how much it can be worn. I would feel stupid wearing it, but cutting the back to the same length as the front and removing the knitting balls from the back seams will make this piece quite strange and unusual. I love the shape, the lines, and the back-turned hood with a collar on the front of the shawl.
collar and tie. As I discovered while researchingan article on knitting ties a few years ago, knitting ties are hard to find, but I have to applaud this design. The fabric looks as beautiful as a tie.
long wings Oh, excellent. The unusual shape and seam of this scarf fits perfectly and looks amazing.
What does the world need now? Although I applaud the mood behind these gay pride earrings (and the designer donated the design fee to ACLU), I don't know if I can support the execution. . I don't think the wire lends itself to eye-catching jewelry, because it never forgets the look of "the work of a 10-year-old in camp." I will replace the rainbow wire in these earrings with rainbow beads.
face to face. I like the concept of adding a zipper on the hood, which gives it a modern feel that goes well with modern clothing such as a cyclist's jacket. Hoods don't look great when unbuttoned and worn around the neck, but hoods generally don't look as good.
side scarf. Beautiful knitted scarf.
fades slowly; fades slowly. Some beautiful shapes and stitches on it.
transition. Not a bad pair of crooked socks. I will stretch them a little longer on the legs.
badge. As a stained glass fan (and artist), woven stained glass effect projects are like candy to me. Very sweet little hat.
Bosch. This is a whimsical look for a classic panel cardigan. I like to mix traditional looks with minimalist and modern styles.
qlisin. A very nice classic cut looks great, although I would add buttons and keys instead of a front band.
About lace. It's a pretty simple cut that's easy to wear, but I wouldn't stretch the lace pattern on the sleeves because it creates a bending effect, instead I would wear straight sleeves around the shoulders.
