Knit.Wear Spring/Summer 2018: A Review

Knit.Wear has published its spring/summer 2018 edition . Let's see that, shall we?

Adria Dolma. I'm not a big fan of Dalman or flapping wings, but this is an excellent example of style.

Theft in the Aegean. I like a lot of geometric motifs from the side.

High member. Like this site but not so much a sandwich panel style.

Jersey Beaufort. Like the details of the skirt, side cover. I would recommend working this pattern on a circular needle on the sleeve to remove these stitches.

Benedikt's sweater. I like the texture but I'll fix it.

Upper Caspian Sea. Very decent work. I love embroidery, especially cables.

Karl sweater. classic dress. Oh how I wish I had enough necks to wear a turtleneck sweater like that.

Clematis Vest. Beautiful embroidery, fit, fit.

Frederick cardigan. Attractive classic waistcoat.

honeycomb shell. What I love about this design - the idea of pleated lace details. What I didn't like: Bad snow and poor tailgate performance. The ridge above the crease where the sidewalls start looks terrible.

Sweater with water hyacinth. This pattern appears to be from the pages of a home magazine in the 1970's, and then again, it could be a recipe for a brown rice cooker.

Hemp. This is one of those cases where I love the design concept, but I don't think it's done right. I like the idea of the butterfly opening in the back, but it's very similar to the holes, the open seams, just to my liking.

James cardigan. I love this geometric cable. But let me say that for a spring/summer release, the design of this issue looks pretty fall-winter.

moon dolma. I generally prefer this pattern because a basic bat lace pattern crochet goes well together, but I would lengthen the lace pattern and crochet directly onto the cuffs rather than using a crochet pattern at the bottom. As it was, it had a slightly clingy look that didn't go with a sweater.

Portiek. The cut details are nice but I don't think this piece gets the style it deserves as it should be worn alone rather than layering over something else. I'm going to make it out of more interesting yarn to give it a bit more beauty.

Puget bag. Oooh I really love this bag which is the epitome of beautiful modern style.

Spanish lace with moss. Very elegant packaging with beautiful lace and a fantastic veil.

Timor T. Nice design. It has nice details on the sides of the yoke. This element is well decorated as it is a very delicate, layered detail.

Top Weddell. I really like the embroidery and the eggs on this shirt. I'm not a fan of the short length, but I could easily lengthen this section if I wanted to. I'm also going to do it in a simpler, more cheerful color instead of this slightly somber color. Come to Knit.Wear , it's your spring-summer release. are you dead inside

wisteria table. Beautiful lace wrap.
