Love of Knitting Winter 2017: A Review
Love of Knitting Winter Edition 2017 presented. We will see.
Bohuslan sweater. I really like it overall and loved the idea of adding the chevron detailing to the body of the sweater instead of the contrast yoke where it would normally be attractive and unique, but I would remove the elastic stitching from the body of the stitching and put everything in my bag. The stitching doesn't seem to add anything, instead chevron creates a slightly messy effect.
Claire Jersey. That's a pretty cool part. I make it short but the reason is that I don't bother with long garments because there's nothing wrong with that on purpose.
The Rock of Mohs vest. Not bad. Something like this can come in handy when a woman is very casual and just wants a layer over a flannel shirt.
hood connection. Good looking. But it's hard to go wrong with a drawstring hat.
Furuset Gingerbread Man. Okay, but I think I'll change my facial expressions a bit. The pink cheek point should be placed in the cheek area and not at the corner of your face unless you've been wearing your blouse in the wrong place for three decades.
Jagodi gloves. Overall good but I will add some twins. The edges look a bit unfinished and have a crease between them.
Jurassic hood. That's good sewing.
Kattegat sweater. oh i love it It is very easy to put on and comfortable, but the collar, cuffs and belt make it extra special.
Ruhanu cuts the sweater. The length of the cut will elevate any cute boys t-shirt like this, yet it has a "washable" look.
sandwich shirt I like the general idea and the shape is good, but somehow it's not very cohesive, probably because the colors don't seem to work together. I think I can do this in two threads instead of three by using different, contrasting colors for the main color and a built in gusset for the ribbon.
Shell. This is a beautiful scarf that will elevate a casual outfit, as is the case here.
Scapa will flow. I'm not crazy about it. The texture is good and I like the yarn used here, but it looks odd in three professionally styled photos on the model's Ravelry page. Such heavy packaging does not fit well.
Sherkin Island Scarf. A classic and interesting package.
Scalig Michael Sweater. Good looking. If only I had enough collars to wear a look like this!
Spitsbergen hat. I like the honest island and the color but not those awkward garters right in the belt. These look like pieces of clothing that temporarily made him forget the piece was on the right side.
Scarf from the Tarfala Valley. Good looking! I love the bangs and the truth is that the wrong side of this scarf will look almost as good as the right side.
Screaming island hood. Another interesting piece with interesting stitching.
