Pom Pom Quarterly Spring 2020: A Review
Today we are looking at the Pom Pom Quarterly Spring 2020 edition .
Above. This photo isn’t charming - it’s hard not to laugh at this pattern - but the actual design, the falling shoulders, the cropped length, the loose fit and the wide sleeves will be completely uncomfortable for almost any woman.
Opening. Very nice light cloth.
Obada. The details of the yoke are wonderful and I love how they go with the line, but when combined with the cut length, it spoils the design. I would make this model of standard length and accuracy.
Cairo. Pretty decent fabric sweater, but I fix my shoulders.
Chapman. This shawl is worn by Afghan grandmothers, but it somehow works in a fashionable and quirky way. I represent a particular type of young woman wearing this accessory as a model.
The gap. The lace pattern is very attractive, but the shape is wonderful. God, those short sleeves, the low bottom, the plain bag, are so flattering in a model.
Turn it on. I would prefer this. I love the contrast between the smooth body and the voluminous bottom sleeves, the mohair and silk thread, the precise yoke, the cuffs and the matte thread. I want to make it a little longer - the shortened length is quite unprepared.
the conversation I would cut well and remove the long mullein edge and side slit, but I might not like the shank thread used here.
Whisper. This sweater is very pretty with a merino silk lace stripe and its elastic mohair.
Wind. This crochet net shawl is a striking and striking modern lace shawl, with a straight line rather than a curved line.
