Pom Pom Quarterly Winter 2018: A Review
Pom Pom Quarterly has released the winter 2018 issue . Let's take a look at this?
Tree of life . Nice sweater. I'm not usually a huge fan, but these tassels add lightness to a simple corduroy sweater.
Ataraxia. I understand where this designer went with the exact look of the vest and I really like the design but I see this peplum from the side and I think it doesn't work. I would reduce it by a few centimeters.
Christabel. Such an attractive card. I love the model's statement: "I'm rocking this bomb without Mei."
Galewood. These gloves are different: they are held in place by a ring on the middle finger and do not have the shape of individual finger holes. It will stay in place quite well and I really like the effect. They are like hands on hands.
Nightingale. Here's what the leather looks like, and its twisted and curved cords are truly fabulous, evoking thoughts of the dense thickets of a magical forest you read about in fairy tales.
Nimue. Not quite sure about this. Batwing sleeves give it a messy look. However, I have to admit it has some beautiful details and looks good here with a dress with no horizontal stripes like the competition.
Does not exist. I'm not entirely happy with how this sweater sits in the front, but it's bearable and the back is just great.
Osmund. There are ... too many things to do here. This milk isn't just an overripe egg, it appears to have contracted smallpox.
Remain. This wrap is really cute. Knitwear, use of two identical shades, luxurious and silk finishes… There are sixteen photos of this scale on the Ravelry page, far more than usual on the Ravelry model page. As if the photographer couldn't stop shooting and it wasn't my fault.
Wilwood. I love the contrast bow effect of this sweater and I stick to the idea of pom poms but I don't agree with their placement. Cropped arms and short, wide bust shapes also don't work in this professional model.
