Rowan 40 Years: A Review

Rowan celebrated her 40th birthday with a special collection of 40 paintings from her archive . I've only revisited their templates in these six years, so I've revisited their commemorative versions, although that means I've revisited a few designs a second time. Out of curiosity, I've referred to my original design review in 2012 and talked about whether I'll keep my word. When I started working on this review, I expected Rowan to really go back 40 years and introduce a model from 40 years ago. But that's not what they do. Most of these projects are from the last twenty years, and only one is from 1990. It was like visiting a modern history museum and finding out that half of the exhibits were closed. But I understand why Rowan's editors did this. Fashion hasn't changed much in the last twenty years, and it's easy to choose designs from the last two decades that will look modern and attractive by 2018 standards, while using designs from the previous twenty will require major adjustments. Works especially when you pay for newly published templates.

Anya sample 2000. So simple and classic, I doubt it will look old.

Any sickle. The design of this package is reminiscent of 2009. This beautiful scarf will never go out of style.

Winter flowers. Here is another design from 2000. I like the floral theme, it's abbreviated, the shapes are nice and the color would be nice to match.

Orkney. This sweater is from 2012. I reviewed it when it was posted in 2012 , I said I liked it overall and complained that the neck and hem were open. It is true, the way the sweater was attached to the model in the product photo does not match the design. It sits very well here.

Carlotta since 2004. At first glance, I thought it was an early 1980s pattern and thought it might be without the beads and ribbons, but bits of blue create a new look. Quite, but I may decide to do without ribbons and beads if I do so. I have enough details of roses.

Tried since 2007 . Good. I like soft and beautiful blanket.

Coat in a cage. I don't know if this design has been published because it doesn't look like Ravelry. In the original photo, he really looks better than in this one, because in the first photo the model hanged herself freely. I like the details on the collar and cuffs, but I hope they look less heavy.

Evia. Since 2002. It's amazing how the contrast panel at the bottom makes for what would otherwise be a very traditional pattern. Really upgrade and turn it into something different.

Agnes. Since 2004. The French knot really does the trick.

Wrap a soothing scarf. Since 2013. When I first looked at it, I wrote: “The Sumak scarf is really beautiful if you are one of those people who can wear such a spectacular cape (and stick to a consistent texture). If you like the design, make a beautiful afghan by buying a double yarn from the yarn indicated on the pattern. I think this is fair enough. It has a nice texture.

Addison. Since 2012. In my 2012 review, I wrote, "I don't usually include this type of general sweater, but I would like to point out the things that make this sweater stand out: the texture, the raglan sleeves, the cutout, and the simple but not slanted cut." . This gives this basic design a very finished look. Knit this sweater in your chosen color and you'll be wearing more than three to four intricate patterns and vibrant sweaters. When I first started blogging, I didn't do all the templates in every magazine review like I do now. I still think this is a very good simple sweater design. And he deserves more interesting colors.

Goals. Since 1999. Very good.

Typical Cellini. I don't know when it was posted because there doesn't seem to be a revival page for it. I think this is one of those designs that would look out of place on most women. Even this professional model can't bring herself to work.

Gisli. Since 2009. Something beautiful with a nice texture that will add interest (and warmth) to your everyday look.

Lucky scarf on a pole. Since 2007. It works better than I thought, it will be an Afghan style rapper, but it still looks the same as the previous one.

Traveler. Since 2010. Useful and interesting cover.

Chanchal since 1991. And this design is very similar to 1991, because it gives an amazing size cut and a cut that matches the style of that time. I don't know why we didn't think of focusing on happy media at the time. I love the overall design of both sweaters, but I will resize them to fit the waist perfectly.

Valentine. Since 2010. It cannot be denied that this is somewhat insurmountable. This is one of those designs that is impossible to miss when you see someone on the street.

Powder sweater. Since 2003 looks smart and funny. I'll improve it a little, and I also like the idea I saw in one of the photos of Ravelry on the Ravelry page with this pattern: add a narrow colored stripe to the neck, cuffs and hem.

quintere. Since 2012 I wrote that it was a "beautiful sweater" . And I support this bold and controversial position.

N pcs. Since 2005. Beautiful. I've been paying attention to this design for a long time.

Rabin. Since 2011. I love flowers, but I can't get rid of the thought that I can still. But I have to admit that this design looks great to the Ravelry users who made it.

Flora. Since 2004. It's pretty funny. Beautiful edges and shapes make the little striped sweater beautiful.

Burghley. Since 2009 A wonderful thing.

Lydia. Since 2010. The Fair Isle template was great (it's a faceted cafe design), but I'm going to change it. From the Ravelry customization project, I see that many Rav users have done this using the Fair Island pattern to get the jersey they want or to keep their feet warm.

Celtic until 2006. Very stylish and comfortable jacket.

Develop. Since 2001 Beauty. This design also appears in a smaller version of the sleeves, other than the Intercia floral pattern, but I think it looks better with the floral print.

Wrap the wall with cork. Since 2012. Here's what I said in my first transition : “I like this case, but only in theory. The theory is that it should only be worn when I'm sitting on the couch and when I'm cold. When I was six years old design review, I never lost sight of the fact that while a large package may look beautiful in a professional style photo, in real life it is unrealistic and unrealistic. I don't see many women wearing this on street.

Miss. From 1999 Personally, this is a bit short for me, but I have to admit that it works and looks good to any Ravelry user.

Here. Since 2013. Here's what I can say about this design : “I hope I was able to see what actually happened with the axle design. It appears to be basically a cape with a matching scarf on top. I don't like this idea. . It might be attractive, one more thing. Adding great items won't solve the problem. If you want to make this set for yourself, I suggest you wear it separately. It was evident that some kind of cloak and shawl were lying around. I still don't agree with the idea of matching scarves/watches.

Francis. Since 2014. Here is my review for 2014 : “I can’t stop looking at a big sweater (more precisely, in front). They are not liked by most women, hold things and usually look sideways. In general the design is quite attractive, but if I do, but I would have this standard form and reduce it. Today I agree with my 2014.

March. From the year 2000. Portable classic.

Answer. It's 2003, and I feel like 2003 is too much , because back then everything was in the present moment. It still looks modern and the stitching is nice.

Flora McDonald. Since 2001, I love bright stripes and checkered ribbons, but I don't like diced ones.

Take it easy since 2010. This is one of those items that is inspiringly elegant.

Monzi. I do not know when this pattern originated, as it was clearly not a page of rebirth for him. Due to its large size and shapeless shape, this model has gone to great lengths to look stylish.

Admission since 2009. A striped sweater is beautiful and uplifting.

Cardigan board game. From the year 2000. Choose the yarn used here and a diamond pattern that fits well but doesn't form.

Snow fruits. This is another template that I didn't find on Ravelry, so I don't know when it was first published. That's very beautiful. I love the floral pattern and the picot edge and the shape is great too.

Olives. Since 1999 Quite interesting and clever.
