Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 64: A Review

Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine has published 64 issues of the magazine. Let's see.

just. It's a messy hybrid of a vest and trunk, and it works really well and would be a very wearable way to add a warm layer to an outfit.

Alizarin. Lots of texture on this layer and I like the jagged edges.

Lighthouse. The hood in this product photo is a separate part of the sweater. They look great with the hood folded and with the hood folded, but the hood doesn't look great with a single crease (although the hood doesn't usually look that great) and I don't know what the sweater itself doesn't look like. photos available.

Butler. Nice gloves.

car is. Nice diagram but I will change the shape as truncated and wide shapes are complex shapes.

Dark red. I prefer this one with a bold pattern and a quilted side and it looks really warm and cozy. I would straighten the shoulders of the bag but make the armholes larger as they should fit over other items in a roomy cut. This is a jacket that goes well with a limited number of outfits, but see what it does with a basic t-shirt and jeans.

sardines. Sitting is not very good.

Chota. I'm going to trim this portion, both the overall length and the length of the V-neck, because it looks messy. But sews well.

Vermilion. The pattern is beautiful and imaginative, and the lines are gorgeous.

bardo. What a bright and attractive pattern.

Flute. Classic cable sleeve.

Crazy. Graphics borrowed from Carise's design above make for an eye-catching hood.

bird berries. On top of this I pin the shoulder bags and maybe add cuffs or corset stitch tape on the sleeves to further tie this image together.

Grenade. I'm reforming this one to make it look better on a human face. There are bat wing designs that work, but this isn't one of them.

Barn. The shape is good and the star motif is very nice. I expected nothing less as this is a Coffee Fassett design.

henning Classic and wearable.

houtan. Pom poms give this hoodie a fun and fashionable look.

Julian. This is a very nice stitch. I'm going to lengthen it because a cropped sweater looks awful to me, but some women wear a long cut so your yarn may vary depending on who is wearing it.

light feet. I tend to see the sword as something to be used sparingly. This jacket will make me feel like I'm wrapped in bubble wrap.

Purple. I love the stitching and the lines are great.

Grenade. Very interesting. The floral pattern is very cute.

Swamp. I like some of these pieces, like the beautiful pattern used on the body and arms, but this one doesn't quite match. I think it will work better with more analog colors. Placing different patterns and colors that don't really go together tends to result in visually conflicting pieces.

Maifeld. Beautiful case with very nice stitching.

Penny Bridge I can't shake the feeling that this sweater was cut in the front and then badly glued in the back.

Platform. This is what the cover looks like, but the waist version on the cover definitely doesn't fit all designs. Not only is this full length scarf adorable, it adds drama like any other crochet work and even covers photos well where the pattern doesn't rotate.

Popham. Not bad. Interesting details of the sleeves and nice shape. I wanted a more finished cuff and wanted to see the cleavage.

pucalpa. The body is charming, even elegant. The stitching is attractive and the alpaca thread looks luxuriously soft and warm.

Mahogany. I don't care about the rice and grain detailing on the sleeves, but I found the lace on the waist uncomfortable.

rosewood. When I saw it I couldn't help but conclude that there is a more elegant and classy way to style your tie than a sweater and bow tie. This woman gives a poorly wrapped gift.

Dew. Cute and looks luxurious and special to wear.

Oxide. I have to say that this design is as graceful as gentle waves. It actually looks more like a plush shawl than a ostentatious Afghan blanket.

I like sangria. I think you can't help but notice that when someone in it passes you on the street.

Tarma. It hung awkwardly from the two product outlets available to it, which didn't bode well.

Tisdale. Interesting combination of prints.

Venice. Classic lace scarf.

Millions Love the color and stitching of this crochet scarf but could have used a slightly smaller size. This model looks a bit tight considering that the model is usually quite long with a long neck.

Honeysuckle. This is a fun and lively scarf. I'm going to use the edges to make it look a little more subtle.
