Six Years and Still Counting Stitches

Today is the sixth year that Quinn has been injected and injured! In the past, I've sometimes been able to create posts themed around this year's birthday gifts, but metal (traditional) or beautiful (modern) 6th birthday gifts aren't very inspired. I could have written an article about using iron in a steam dam, but... meh. So the important thing is that we are looking forward to photo memories that will not have as much fun as I did and some of the most interesting memories of my thoughts.

As for external bookmarks, this blog is posting as often as my chronic fatigue issue allows. The blog typically receives about 1,000 page views a day and has approached 2 million page views since its inception. The knitting needle and damaged Facebook page is doing well with over 15,000 likes a month ago, and that's a long-awaited place of fun and chat. Interesting and fun knitting items. The page's engagement rate compares favorably to the most popular dot magazine Facebook pages, though it does have a large following on my page.

The KNDD team that I formed two years ago with more than 330 members. I'm also on Pinterest and Twitter , although I use both accounts for personal use and to promote this blog.

Looking back over the last six years, it seems that the most impressive result of my efforts as a blogger has been the impact this blog has had on me . On the one hand, I am surprised that I am doing this and that the work is still very pleasant. Learning, revising, and documenting my thoughts on new designs and ideas in the punctuation world doesn't bore me. Second, I learned a lot from my efforts. Scoring skills have improved a lot, my rule of thumb is to try something new on every project, and I'm really happy with the ingredients I make because I've better described my overall choice and learned a lot about it. I like and dislike a lot, what suits me and what I dislike, as well as how to complete an integrated, versatile and complete wardrobe. I no longer buy to order, but instead plan carefully, decide exactly what I want or need, and then look around to find what I need. And when I think about how much money I spend on clothes these days, my closet looks insanely better than it did in 2012. (Aside from shoes, moaning, I can't find quality shoes next to anything, what? I can do it with clothes. ) If so, what does it save? I have accomplished something to be proud of by donating money, making them happy with their projects and purchases, helping them dress and groom themselves, and reducing their carbon footprint.

So this site has helped me in terms of the impact it has had on me, and we look forward to sharing it with others. But I don't know how long I'll stay on the blog. Financially, the site was not successful. It's only making hundreds of dollars a year, and it's not a good return for the time I say: I was making a dollar an hour, maybe less. If I have a few good hours in the day and have the energy to focus and be productive (and live off some of the money I've borrowed), then I should invest in something that makes it worthwhile. . I don't think it's dropping needles yet, but all I can do is check it out next year.

If you want to help keep the knitting needles and damage from continuing, there are plenty of ways to help. First, there is the donation key in the sidebar. If you read the website regularly and can afford it, consider making an annual or semi-annual donation to a magazine or other regular subscription. For example, if 80% of my regular readers give me $25 a year, I will earn a good income from the site. If you're a regular reader but are struggling financially and can't afford to donate, keep enjoying the site. I am glad to be with you when others make their website available to me for free.

Whether you donate or not, there are other free ways to help me. When you shop on Amazon.com, I accept a small percentage of the Amazon link in my sidebar or any other Amazon link on my website at no additional cost. And I'm sure that sharing blog links on your social media accounts and telling other knitters will help me increase my readership, which in turn will bring me more ad revenue from time to time.

Thanks for finally reading, following and commenting. Your interest, feedback and enthusiasm are one of the rewards of the blog. Here's at least another year of punctual damage!
