Vogue Knitting Early Fall 2017: A Review
Vogue Knitting has unveiled its Fall 2017 release. Let's take a look at it, shall we?
Example 1, open embroidery. It's a little harsh to my taste.
Pattern №2, herringbone. Beautiful quilted scarf. The texture makes it fun.
Example №3, a zigzag bar with a sliding line. It’s a little rough and thick for my taste, but can anyone else see a wall of little guys standing on top of each other staring at the seam?
Example № 4, Diamond textured winding. Excellent sewing work in this case.
Example 5, Shetland Twist Wrap. Beautiful ink wire.
Example 6, hermetic packaging. Although the pattern details of this sampler are monochromatic, they do not seem to match. I am going to choose two or three of these stitch patterns and repeat them instead of sewing each piece separately.
Style №7, raglan sweater. Well-formed classic fabric.
Style №8, kimono cardigan. The back of this product looks great. I’m not too flattering at the front, but I don’t like open-front button-down jackets. I want to make a sweater out of it.
Style №9, cardigan with a rope. It's not bad, though I like it somewhat patchy.
Example №10, sweater skirt. Nice classic fabric.
Pattern №11, crossover sweater, embroidered with a cross. Excellent shaping and sewing.
Style №12, a raglan islet sweatshirt. Normally I'm not a fan of mesh, but I prefer this mesh pattern to its curved and semi-sticky look. The design and details are also very good.
Example № 13, Strata Hat. Nice hat, but I don't know if I agree with these headphones, but I have to admit that these headphones are made just like the headphones. The hat is shaped like a Narnian series helmet. This is definitely not a bad thing.
Style № 14, cardigan with lace pattern. It is true that this fabric is primitive, refuting my usual cardigan protest. It fits very well, the lace is beautiful and the effect is romantic and modern at the same time.
Pattern №15, striped rowan. Stripe and color work can not be beaten. I wouldn't expect less because it's a Kaffe Fastett design.
Style №16, striped collar top. This is a fun and interesting part.
Example № 17, Integrated neck collar. It's a fun thing to do, though I don't think the color scheme works very well.
Style № 18, jacket with fringe. It has a "dirty floor" look.
Style № 19, jacket skirt. I'll try to make it a little longer, turn it into a dress and recreate the color scheme.
Pattern № 20, striped sweater. With its ugly shape and uneven sides, this jacket looks like a design that will surpass the final item.
Pattern № 21, pale Fibonacci jacket. I like the color scheme and this jacket fits me very well.
Style №22, striped dress. It’s portable, it’s fun, it’s modern and great, but every time I watch it, I hear the words “please don’t install TV”.
Style №23, V-neck sweater. This is nice because the molding is good and the color scheme is well designed, but these toggle drawstring drives me crazy.
Style №24, striped raglan sweater. This is a reprinted pattern that was first published in the spring / summer 1989 issue of Vogue Knitting . OK, but not the style I chose in this issue for reprinting (I tested, and yes, there really is a problem), and although LCD editors suggest using yarn replacement to restore the color scheme, I'll re-work the colors if It shows here.
I like the idea of decorative button knitting, but it looks a bit fancy.
