Vogue Knitting Early Fall 2018: A Review
Today we take a look at the first issue of Vogue Knitting for 2018.
Pattern No. 01, sweater with a yoke. The jacket of this turtleneck is great. I don't have to give up the need to have a slightly longer neck to be able to wear this style.
Pattern No. 02, sweater with gathered yoke. It has a nice smoky effect. It's bigger and looser than I recommend but it would be easy to make it a little smaller and this design is good for a comfortable fit.
Pattern No. 03, textured coquette. Another comfortable and attractive sweater. I'll change a little to customize.
Pattern No. 04, sweater with a yoke. Very wearable and classic.
Pattern No. 05, herringbone T-shirt. Not bad. It will be slightly thicker and heavier in texture, but has a certain elegance due to its shape and gradient effect.
Pattern No. 06, poncho with shoulder strap and neckline. I love the effect of the tweed yarn, but I'm sure the shape will look heavy and ugly. I'm not a poncho fan at all so your mileage may be different.
Pattern No. 07 student expression V. Smart and sporty.
Pattern No. 08, tunic with a high neck. I prefer something that looks like a versatile piece that can be worn with trousers, leggings or tights and boots. I'll add some sizing.
Pattern No. 09, gradient cardigan. Not bad. The shape is beautiful and I like the gradient effect, although I think there are more interesting color options.
Pattern No. 10, poncho with a hood. Say it rudely, but I don't think one T-shirt should be big enough for more than two people.
Pattern No. 11, lace dress. This is an undeniable turn of the head, if not an unconscious heart.
Pattern No. 12, striped cardigan. The texture of the weave is great, the lines of the design are good, but I think it needs to be trimmed a little and close the front.
Pattern No. 13, kimono cardigan. It is not the same as kimono and cardigan. It looks like a bag tied with a drawstring.
Pattern No. 14, openwork tunic. This tunic can be used as a bag, but I think I will use it exclusively as a bag.
Pattern No. 15, sweater with mesh sleeves. It's good to wear things. I love the texture concept on the sleeve.
Pattern No. 16, hood with pomp. Not bad. As you can see in the picture of this pattern on the Ravelry page, this hood looks best worn around the neck twice. Wearing this type of balaclava uniform has the unfortunate look of a "deflated airbag".
Pattern No. 17, clasp omitted. This option does not look good on the model, but I accept it simply because I like the color and embroidery.
Pattern No. 18, poncho sweater. He has "an indescribably economical number from the 1980s."
Pattern number 19, elastic band on the yoke. As soon as I saw it, I realized that I had seen it before and really saw it, because it was originally published in the winter edition of Vogue Knitting 2001/02, which is in my collection. I liked the model then and still do, but it may take me a while to realize that the 2001 model is old enough to be "brought back".
