Vogue Knitting Winter 2018/2019: A Review
Vogue Knitting has published its winter issue 2018/2019 . let's see, okay?
Model №1, twisted poncho. I like this design more than most poncho models, probably because it has shape and detail and almost qualifies as a sweater.
Sweater with Basque model no.2. I like the fit and the gluing and the good cables on it.
Model No. 3, knitted sweater with rope. However, not bad would fix those weak shoulders.
Model № 4, poncho with rhombus. Nice room. Its diagonal lines give it some elegance.
Model №5, twisted sweater. Nice details for that, and the shape is also good.
Model № 6, Twist Front Cardigan. Classic vest.
Argyle vest model no.7. A simple and cozy version of the classic Argyle vest.
Model № 8, Cubix scarf. It can be a huge destroyer and is visually interesting.
Model № 9, shiny poncho. It's a bit too Afghan in sewing for me, though I have to admit the shape is good and stays good.
Model № 10 Brioche scarves. A rather attractive modern wrapper.
Model No. 11, two-color sweater. It’s a bit harsh and ready for my taste, but I think it can be worn just looking down and it would be fun to play with the color choices in it - it’s a matte combination of light gray and ivory that does a lot.
Model No. 12, sweater with heart. It looks like a sweater for a dog, not something that actually belongs to an adult woman.
Model № 13, sleeveless trapeze dress. It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring. That's right, but I'm not sure what could have been done with this piece. It looks almost hopeless like a purse, and making it out of ordinary ivory did not help.
Model №14, striped sweater and scarf. I like the concept of a striped sweater with a scarf of the same color.
Model № 15 Large handkerchief. Not bad, but it's one of those coils that I can not help but think is better left on the couch.
Models no. 16, winter lake scarf. Lace so beautiful.
Model № 17, Hylla Cardigan. I'm not a big fan of dolmen sleeves, but I like that more. Looks pretty good from the back, if not so good from the side. I think I would remove the comb between the ribs and the suture used all over the body as it is too much and goes bad.
Model №18 Offset triangular fabric. That's pretty good. I prefer the unusual color scheme, as well as interesting stripes and stitches combined with minimal processing.
Model 19, high collar with diamond. Oh, I remember this design by Adrien Vitadini, who first appeared in Vogue Knitting Winter 1996/97, and I have a pretty poor copy on the models library shelves. It's a smart and worn item. I have not done this yet, but that does not mean I will not do it.
Model 20, striped jacket. I like this, though I usually do not like cardigans. The line combination works very well and the design fits pretty well.
