Cast On Summer 2019: A Review
Cast On has released a Summer 2019 issue . Let's see, okay?
Ant egg dish. I don't like to use knitted washcloths (I find them cumbersome and they get very rough and dirty compared to washcloths that you can wash) and I don't like the idea of attaching eggs to insects on my kitchen towel, but this designer project Tried something new. In this and other numbers in this number of kitchen towels, experiment with flax yarn instead of regular cotton yarn. He writes that he is a convert, that flax kitchen towels "dry quickly and clean dishes very well, and our prototype is odorless. These will also be very effective for exfoliation! If you prefer crocheted kitchen towels (and many do), you Next time you want to try using flax yarn when making them.
There is almost no herringbone scarf . This is an interesting lace pattern, although I can't say that this color scheme fits the design.
Basket-knitted headband. If it’s hot pink and teal, it will look like an 80s workout video and should be there.
Bubble, bubble, bubble. Delicious!
Brereton serp. I like the modern environment.
Sweater with strap column. Embroidery is beautiful and the waist is tight, but wearing a lining with a sweater is always uncomfortable, like this.
Clare jacket. This jacket is very carefully cut and finished, and the simple embroidered dragonfly is a nice finishing touch.
Cut with a twist. It's not a bad design at all, but I think it's the other way around, which makes me nervous.
Flax cross. It's not scary, but I'll do it from a more interesting thread, which comes from a thread other than this one.
Oriental tunic. I'm here for this combination of brooches, Art Deco details and yarn.
Striped Fibonacci sweater. It has a very unusual color palette and works very well, especially when combined with a saddle-shoulder design.
Stadium snake on the ribs of fishermen. Ordinary classic stadium scarf.
Gaza Circle. Not bad. The color scheme and the honeycomb embroidery work well together.
Bless. I love this color block dress and wanted to see it in a fun color palette.
Flax summer ass. Here we have the annoying double breasted jacket from the beginning of this review and a skirt that reminds me of a lampshade of the forties. While there’s nothing objectively wrong with the design of a vest or the design of a skirt, I’m not sure the two pieces match - it doesn’t look stylistically consistent - and I certainly will. Sample color scheme is one of them.
Gloves with a twist. Here we have a version of the upper hood. Still a great design, still looks inside and out and still amazes me.
Monaghan. I usually sell Celtic braiding patterns easily and this sweater is very comfortable and attractive.
Bath. Easy color block effect brioche scarf. It works.
Kitchen towels with garter belts for turmeric and vegetables. The combination of saffron and curry flowers gave me a slight retinal burn, but I like the points used here.
Offset rib sweater. Not bad. I like the idea of using a stripe in the middle to change the color between the two blocks.
Deer horn jacket. Here we have a cover design and it was a good choice because the shape and embroidery are very nice and the result is beautiful, especially the blue in this auburn egg.
Summer crop napkins and scarcity. I find them quite attractive in their simple, artistic style and present them on a sunny breakfast table with glasses and plates.
Kitchen towels in folded blocks. I love this stitch.
Socks with thread from top to bottom. The socks are a very attractive pair and I like the woven wire pattern used in it.
Socks in a waffle iron. I love their sporty and groovy look with the fun mix of checkered and stripe cut.
