Cast On Winter 2019-2020: A Review

Today we will take a look at the designs from the 2019-2020 winter issue of Cast On magazine.





Striped pillow with buttons. Although it can be easily made by hand, the machine is an example of knitting. Although I like the checkered stripe and the pearl and ribbon lace jacket, the combination of all these elements seems overloaded, but of course you can always put aside any detail that you don't need.





Skirt with twisted accessories. Knitted skirts tend to be beautiful, and I'm afraid that's it. I would like to see a real person before entering this design.





Rising calibers. It is quite beautiful, although there are more interesting and intricate color schemes.





Karen tunic. Not bad for a warm and comfortable sweater designed to stay home in the winter, but I'm not sure if I need these long side slits, and I suspect there are thorns in the skirt.





Joy-colored gloves. They would be good nest hunters.





Davos. Classic and very attractive turtles. This necklace fits well and is in good shape.





Entrelac neck pillow. An awkward pillow that would be ridiculed and excluded from all the other pillows on the sofa seems to be missing.





Down with false twists. This bottom has very nice lines and fits very well. You deserve cleaner buttons than these.





Towel with keyhole. I love the design, but the color palette doesn't just burn the retina.





Lily Armenian sweater. The combination of triangular / diamond and fleurs-de-lis patterns is such a strange bunch of patterns that the resulting sweater looks a bit weird.





The lily of the valley. There is nothing wrong. I think it should be worn on wool, if someone does not touch it with cotton for the summer.





Muscular shirt. Designed to be a suitable shirt for men, but I can't imagine any man I know would agree to wear such a thing. True, my life is spent without fashionable and engaged men.





Lace cardigan. A very attractive piece. This wrinkle on the back is quite noticeable.





Quinn. This is a combination of croissant and enrelac, so if you like technical difficulties and the excitement of choosing an interesting color palette, this project is for you.





Double-sided knitted towel set. They look like they came from a modern home improvement store and will give your table an expensive and soft bohemian look.





Hood smells. BEAUTIFUL - Smooth, soft colors and design are beautiful.





Knitted hat "Kosik". Beautiful, sweet! I like the elegant look of the sliding knitted strap with head and shoulders over the usual elastic.





A square pillow nestled with buttons. It doesn't bother me, it looks very rude and combined, but I can also admit that I am not in favor of interference at all, because there is a tendency to look like that.





The best Super Bingo. This sweater is very boring and shapeless. To be fair, it will probably look a little better on a model that really fits, but that's nothing special.





Tessera Cole. Attractive and even a little attractive.





Triangular scarf. This is a very delicate work, and it seems to belong to one of Bronte's heroes. I don't think it will work with my clothes, but I'm sure there are women who like a bit of Victorian style in their accessories. Tip: If you have to do it yourself and encounter Rochester or Heathcliff while using it, keep searching. You can do better.
