Interweave Crochet Winter 2020: A Review
Today marks a small start for this site. I have never seen a crochet magazine before, but have been asked many times over the years to consider it. I finally got to the point of deciding that I would try to review the hook design for size and see how I did it and what the response was. I can knit (invoices are here and here ) and I've talked about the value of crochet , but I'm not that good at knitting, so I hope everyone will support me whenever I choose to crochet, or should I? say hook? - Interweave Crochet Winter 2020 Issue Review .

Bergschrund shrug. Not bad - it hangs pretty well and is easy enough to use with different screens. The rear also looks great.
But I can't say I cared about the second suggested way of using this thorn - it looked clean and clingy, and I'd like to think the user used it in the dark and hasn't looked in the mirror since.
Crimson wrap. The Tunisian knit looks a bit chunky for my liking, but I appreciate the styling section for making this scarf look almost chic.
Catena scarf. The two-tone embossing has a fantastic blending effect.
Cool snowman. It's funny, but I think this snowman will ignore me if I point to the North Pole.
Copper scarf. Fairly basic but quite portable.
Drumlin Scarf I like the texture and yarn used here and this scarf drapes really well.
Oscar Hood. Excellent use of gradient yarn and a simple jagged texture.
Fir capelet. I'm not sure about that hooded hat, it looks like a shapeless blob is eating this woman's head.
Take off your gloves. Not bad. I can't help but think sadly how they look like a pair of striped knitted gloves. ;)
Magazine cover. I like the idea, but I think the implementation is a bit clunky. I would rather have a tendency to sew the leather part to the woven part with a sewing machine instead of using this uneven seam. A shot at the bottom shows the cover of the original notebook, which annoys me, but I don't know how it got completely covered.
The cow arrived . I don't like it very much, but I think I would have liked it more if it wasn't for the color scheme. These shades of gray and aqua do not go together.
West warhead. I wonder how this elegant little cardigan will fit and/or hang if the wearer pulls it with both hands?
Ezrift scarf. It has a random look, "woven from yarn ending at a random place in a row."
Rimaye cow. In fact, I am really exploring the atmosphere of this contemporary art object . This is a Tunisian crochet, which is why it is so similar to knitting.
Shashiko bag. Sashiko is a form of Japanese embroidery from the 17th century . Taking a compliment from this tradition, this small embroidered tote bag is absolutely beautiful and eye-catching.
The best sweater. Her necklace says, "Hug up and get comfortable!" The open mesh structure says "Experience a close encounter with every draft and bump/rough surface around you!" I can't deny that I like the look of this part, but it's pretty unrealistic.
Sheepskin scarf Nice envelope.
Short head scarf. I think if you always wanted to see your little one or your pet as a petty criminal, this might be for you. A little more practical, it will also act as a bib and give newcomers the opportunity to expand their Tunisian crochet strategy.
