Knitscene Fall 2018: A Review

Knitscene has published an autumn 2018 issue. Let's see, shall we?

Francesca jacket. not bad. By inserting these open middle cables into the sleeves, this classic cable sweater gives a modern twist.

Felicity jacket. beauty. I like the inclusion of a touch of lace in the braid style.

Greta vest. Another nice modern twist on the cable jacket, but I like to fix the muzzle edge. There is nothing modern or flashy about Barb.

Lucia jacket. I love the Art Deco atmosphere of this machine's wire frame and detailed cuffs, but I'll fix the pockets shoulders.

Olivia jacket. Smart and surprising.

Suzy vest. Really cute and cramped, with an interesting cable detail on the back. I would consider doing it for myself.

Natalia jacket. The designer tried to introduce some asymmetry into this piece, but failed in the counterbalance that the asymmetry required. With one casing wired and the other smooth, and all those details wired into the lower two-thirds of the body, it had a heavy feel to the bottom.

Doreza Eleanor. These are so large and uncomfortable that they look more like oven gloves than cold gloves.

Wendy Cowell. beauty. This is an interesting chart.

Margot Haut. Honestly, it comes as many of the thrift stores that the editor decided to include (and especially the prairie-style dress) because they did not meet the model quota for that issue.

Kate Cardigan. It looks cute, fun and fresh. Nice play of shapes and colors.

Ingrid Feist. It will be a handy topping for fall. And a way to brighten up a user's day if you choose a bright color like this.

It should be an omelette. Very nice stitching about this. It's like an art print.

Beatrice jacket. I like the concept of the lace inserts, but I do not like the lace part that hangs just below the edge of the body of the jacket. It looks like a bug. I would like to change it so that the jacket has a flat edge around it.

Elena Cowell. Some very attractive points about it, and I love the combination of turquoise and copper.

(At least there is currently no Ravelry page for this cover or the next three.) I love this sea-face-like page.

I also like this one, with its simple and effective checkpoint.

A pendulum-knit hoodie is not a bad way to show off a crawl on its own.

I love the brown, lime and white color combination, knitted with ropes and knitted with bags. They set each other in motion.

Bright jacket. Some nice yoke details for it and the shape is perfect.
