Rowan 40 Years: A Review

Rowan celebrated his 40th birthday with a special collection of 40 pieces from his archive . I’ve only seen six of them in those years, so I’ve seen their retirement version, which is the second time I’ve seen one of them. For fun, I mentioned a review of my original 2012 design to discuss whether my words are true. When I started this review, I hoped that Rowan would really return to the last 40 years, introducing a crossroads of four-decade models. But that's not what they did. Most of these specimens appear to have been made in the last twenty years, the only one in the 1990s. It was like going into a museum of modern history and seeing half of the exhibition closed. But I understand why Rowan's editors did it. Fashion hasn’t changed much in the last twenty years, it’s easy to choose models from the last two decades that look fresh and fresh by 2018 standards, and wearing the previous twenty models will require major changes. Many pointers don’t want to work so hard, especially when it comes to paying for a newly published issue.

This is for 2000 models . It’s so simple a classic, I’m sure it will never look outdated.

Anis Xala. The design of this cape looks like 2009. Such a beautiful shawl will definitely not go out of style.

Winter flowers. Here is a 2000s design. I like the clear theme of the flowers, the egg is good, it would be interesting to choose a color scheme for this.

Orkney. This cardigan is from 2012. I reviewed it when it was published in 2012 , saying I liked it in general, and complained that the neck and tip were hanging. Admittedly, the adjustment of the initial frame of the sweater did not affect the design of the model. It fits very well here.

Charlotte. Since 2004. At first glance, I thought this model was from the early ’80s, I think it might be out of print, but these bling pieces give it a more modern look. Great, but I could do it without the tape. The pink detail is pretty good for me.

Search. Since 2007. Pretty good thing. I like a delicate and intricate network.

Checkered coat. I don’t know when this design was released because it’s not in Ravelry. It looks better than the first one in the original photo, as it allows the first models to hang freely. I like the details of the necklace and fist, but I can’t help but want to change it up a bit so that it doesn’t get heavy.

Eve 2002. It's amazing how low the contrast panel is, which is a very traditional example. Something fresh comes out:.

Agnes. French Knot has been running since 2004.

Sumak scarf. From 2013 onwards. When I first reviewed this scarf , I wrote: “The woven scarf dress is quite effective if you are someone who is able to wrap this type of drama (it can handle these lasting changes). weave a beautiful.I think it's fair enough.Great texture.

Addison. Since 2012. I wrote in my 2012 review: "I wouldn't normally wear a versatile sweater of this type, but I wanted to highlight the things that make this sweater stand out: fabric, raglan sleeves, high neckline." But the mess doesn’t fit. Focusing on the construction, it gives a very complete look to this basic design. Knit this sweater in the color you want, you will get more wear, an attractive sweater with three or four intricate patterns. When I started blogging, I didn’t have all the reviews in the magazine as I do now. I still think the simple sweater design is pretty decent. And it requires more attractive colors.

Tilly. So good since 1999

Cellini common. I don't know when Ravelry was installed because there are no pages. I think it’s one of those designs that most women will look casual in. This professional model will not work either.

Guzelli. Since 2009. Beautiful fabric with a nice texture that will add interest (և warmth) to a casual outfit.

Xala Bressay Hop. Since 2007. It works better than I thought the Afghan style could work, but it still looks like the former than the latter.

Itinerant. Useful আকর্ষণ Attractive vessel since 2010.

Unstable. Since 1991. And this design is much more than the 1991 one, which was ubiquitous at the time and offered a larger cut and cut. I don’t know why I didn’t think of finding a middle ground in those days. I like the overall design of both sweaters, but I will change them with a plain waistband.

I loved it. Since 2010. There’s no denying that it’s pretty fictional. It’s a model you can’t miss when you see someone on the street.

Lingerie jacket Lingerie jacket. Since 2003. Beautiful: looks ridiculous. I would like to make a small correction, I like the idea I see in one of the photos of Ravelry users that I see on this Ravelry template page. Add a thin layer of color to the neck, wrists and edges.

Kintair. I’ve been writing since 2012 that it was a “beautiful sweater” . And I accept this bold and controversial attitude.

Brocade. Elegant since 2005. I've been looking at this design for a long time.

Bells. Since 2011. I like the floral pattern, but I can’t help but think that it will change its shape to become more standard. But I have to admit that this design looks good for Ravelry users who have linked it the way they did themselves.

Flora. Since 2004. It's pretty sweet. The edges of a good horse give a beautiful striped sweater a beautiful look.

Barley. Since 2009. Great job

Lydia. Since 2010. The Fair Island pattern is wonderful (finally, it’s the design of Cafe Faset), but I’ll change the shape. In Ravelry’s custom design, I can see that many Rav users have been able to create any type of sweater or foot warmer using the Fair Isle template.

Celtic since 2006. Very attractive և comfortable jacket.

Jingle. Since 2001. Beautiful. This design is shown in a shorter version of the floral print, but I think it looks better with a floral motif.

Kirkwall film since 2012. This is what I said in my first change . "I like this cape, but only theoretically. The theory is that it can be carried on the couch when it's cold." In the six years I’ve been writing knitwear reviews, I’ve never lost sight of the fact that oversized coats can look gorgeous in professionally designed photos, are huge, and unreal in real life, I don’t see many women on the street wearing them.

Fog since 1999. For me personally it’s minimal, but I have to admit it’s portable, but it looks good to all Ravelry users who do that.

Here’s what Dary has been saying about this design since 2013. "I want to see what's really in the design of the shaft. It's actually a cape with a scarf on it. I'm not happy with the idea. Only the layers can be awkward. It won't add a little volume to them. I want to do it, but I suggest using it separately. It looks like the clock is ticking.

Francis. Since 2014. Here is my 2014 opinion . Most women don’t caress, they cling to things, they usually look messy. The overall design is pretty good, but if I had to, I would make it standard, I would lift those crooked shoulders. ”Today 2014 will match me.

Marta. 2000 is a classic style that you can wear.

Rapunzel. Since 2003, է This is very similar to 2003, when everyone had a present. It still looks modern and the embroidery is wonderful.

Flora McDonald. Since 2001. I like bright lines, checkered lines, but I don’t like square eggs.

Relax since 2010. This is one of the most elegant things.

Monty. I don’t know when this model came out, there seems to be no Ravelry page for that. It’s so big and personal, where the model spends a lot of time trying to make it stylish

Wentworth. 2009 Beautiful striped jacket, crane.

Game table jacket. Since 2000. I like the thread used here, the checkered pattern, which blends nicely, but not the eggs.

Snow Berry is a sample I can’t find in Ravelry, so I don’t know when it was first published. She is very beautiful. I like the flower pattern Apex: The egg is good too.

Olives. Since 1999. Pretty interesting and smart.
