Vogue Knitting Holiday 2018: A Review
Vogue Knitting has released a 2018 Christmas issue . Let's see it.
No. 1 striped jersey. This is an interesting new creative take on the striped sweater.
#2 Ribbed jacket with brioches. Here the embroidery is beautiful and the shape is acceptable.
Nº 3 Two-tone brioche shawl. the beauty! I love the two tone effect, the embroidery and the shape... and everything that comes with it.
#04 Hood with ribbed stitching. I like the colorful tweed effect.
#5 Two-tone brioche raglan sweater. not bad. I think there are better colors for this.
Balaclava #6. I'm afraid I'll never be able to get into a balaclava. She has such unpleasant associations: the Crimean War, shoplifting, bans (condoms don't consider the first two points a bad thing, but they don't know or respect her aesthetics).
Style #7 ridge bell. Straws that can act as lids are a more attractive option than balaclavas. This pattern was first published in 1986 and was way ahead of its time in that it can be worn with both hoodies and hooded sweatshirts, and knitted hoods were little known at the time.
#8 Rib cover. The pom poms give you the look of a court jester.
#9 Deep raglan sweater. I would like to adjust the fit a bit.
Nº 10 Loose jumper with lace trim. I know it's made for riding, but I'll change it to fit your torso and hips. It is difficult to maintain an unstable silhouette.
#11 Long dolman cardigan. For most women, this would be unpleasant. It doesn't even work on this pro model.
#12 drop shoulder jumper. I usually recommend fixing slouch shoulders, but in this case, if slouch is the main and almost only design feature, I would recommend a different pattern.
#13 Triangle shawl. A simple case with just the right technical details to make it look elegant.
#14 Striped raglan sweater. I really like the fillet brioches that were the subject of this edition. And in this case, I also like the color combination.
sweater no. #15. Another thing, perhaps not surprising, since it's by Nicky Epstein, known for his intricate drawings. loving it. It looks more like a poncho than a jumper, albeit with better stripes than usual for a poncho, and the colors, downturned stripes, and pearl embroidery work well together to create an eye-catching look. But I would suggest doing it with a hood, not a flat collar.
#16 Hat and hood set. Attractive and comfortable set. The embroidery is beautiful and the narrow trim in a contrasting color gives it a twist.
# 17 Flirty cover. This is a stylish and eye-catching sweatshirt that I just hope the designer keeps working on until the jacket comes out.
#18 Wrap it up with a bow. I love the subtle shine of this.
#19 Hooded coat. It looks great with a coat over it... and quite uncomfortable without it.
#20 Striped Cardi with a bow. I remember when this design was first published in the winter of 1992/1993 in Vogue Knitting and I had this problem in my knit library. I loved him then and I love her now.
