Vogue Knitting Winter 2019/2020: A Review
Have fun knitting Winter number 2019/2020 revealed ! Let's see, shall we?
model number. 1, headband. Very nice structure film. It taunts me that the style is very similar to 1986, although if it were really 1986 the model's sweater and hair would be big enough for three women.
model number. 2, Java. I mean... lots of hats. But I don't have any complaints about the design of the hat other than this one, so for those who like to go big or bald this might be the right piece.
Speech #3, scissors/shot. Simple, comfortable and large bamboo sewing hat.
Scheme No. 4, skelenus. Big ponchos aren't my thing at all (see what I made there?) but I have to admit they're well made for what they have, although I can't help but wonder how well they will be on a couch which i like in the color scheme and the rhythmic triangle pattern.
model number. 5, inverted small film. Necessary but useful.
Model No. 6, Excellent. It reminds me of the long open sweater my mom wore at home in the early 1980s: it also had simple pockets and 3/4 sleeves that didn't match my mom's meals while she worked in the kitchen. It's quite a comfortable and practical outfit that can be styled in many ways, although I can't shake the unreasonably short sleeves. I would tremble a little.
Scheme No. 7, grandfather. It's very useful to me - it reminds me of Mao's jacket. I think this design calls for an interesting and/or particularly beautiful yarn as it needs to be a bit eye-catching.
Scheme #8, multitasking. I will fix the bag shoulder and think there is a good color choice for this model but other than that this model is quite wearable and can give a good headache.
model number. 9, gradient. I'll raise the fallen shoulder and slightly tweak the fit, but without it it's sleek, modern, and eye-catching.
model number. 10, folk jersey. Well, that's different. I love her - not only is she very attractive, she also takes care of me, checks all the details.
model number. 11, cord. Beautiful, and the wiring pattern is amazing.
Scheme #12, Echo. Classic lace cape.
Scheme No. 13, arbor. Another amazing short wire cape. I mean look at this intricate wiring pattern.
model number. 14, contemporary. The design notes on Ravelry's page resemble the well-known colors of Scottish designer Charles Renee Macintosh. I disagree, and that's definitely a good thing, but I'm afraid he's taking it all on himself.
Scheme No. 15, crown. It's quite a short jacket, although I wish I could fix those sagging shoulders.
model number. 16, Herald. Very interesting sweater. Despite the winter issues, Vogue Knitting seems to be headed for spring with some of their designs.
model number. 17, topiary. What a beautiful thistle.
Scheme No. 18, cable type. It is an "archived" model, first published by Vogue Knitting in 1962, re-released in 1985 and revived in this issue. Despite all the drastic changes in fashion since 1962, it hasn't been a year since it was originally published in my opinion. Like the power of classic braided sweaters.
