Interweave Knits Summer 2018: A Review
Interweave Knits have released their Summer 2018 edition. Let's take a look at all the summer patterns in it.
Arizona T-shirt. I love the modern style lace embroidery that would make a great beach quilt or eye-catching detail on an evening gown.
Arkansas River Sweater. Attractive classic sweater.
Cardigan Bent Fortress. The stitching is fine and the back is fine, but I don't care how it hangs on the front.
Buena Vista stolen. Interesting piece of lace.
Ponch Candencia. The wire is fine here, but I don't like the way it hangs. Each product photo on the Ravelry page in this design has the model in a different everyday pose, plus, and the effect is still small.
Cardigan "Desert Night". Nice shapes and interesting and attractive mosaic motifs.
T-shirt with flagpole. neat jacket.
Cardigan with four corners. Oh, I really like it. The combination of warm and dim desert colors and southwestern designs is eye-catching.
Indigo Merchant Cardigan. Not bad. I like the bold design on the back. It has a wider front-to-back curved hemline, but I think it works better as a corner mullet.
Mao stole . Another beautiful leader with beautiful stitching.
Top Mahav . I don't think those details work well here - the styling doesn't make this piece great - but I can see it working on camis or t-shirts. Nice shape and nice lace.
Salida Cardigan . A very valuable article. I thought I might opt for this shoulder patch in a less contrasting color.
Taoist T-shirt . This is one part that usually only works on long models. I like the lace detailing on the sleeves, neckline, and back, but if the intended wearer is medium or shorter, I'll trim the sleeves and length and cover most of the gap to the waist.
Jersey Tucson. This is one of those designs that I didn't like at first, but just kept evolving as I looked at it. The colors and designs are incomparable and bright, and the shape is good.
white scarf Very similar to this one. The different lines give this case a different attractive look depending on how they are laid out on the Ravelry design page.
Winona poncho. The wavy lace pattern is interesting, but I don't think I can handle a lot of unfinished ends so will probably hold it all in for at least an hour. To be honest, it looks like the cat is tense.
