Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 63: A Review
Today we turn to Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 63 .
Nabila. I love this stitch and tying that slanted shoulder would really hinder the pattern, but I still can't do it because the stitch looks so short. If I had to change this pattern, I could choose the perfect sleeve by removing the sweater from the body and extending the pattern along the sleeves. But then you can decide if you like the free horse leave it as it is.
Delft cardigan. chase. It's rich. The jersey skirt is nice, and the Delft porcelain blue floral pattern is beautifully presented against a white background.
Need. A very simple but effective color block effect is great.
I am sad. This intricate pattern may look Afghan, but this designer went a step further by using ignition sewing techniques, resulting in a sleek and modern case.
As an example. A smart new twist on the classic striped sweater.
Tayba. I love this coat with its unusual color and interesting variety of stitches. The belt doesn't do much for it. It would be better to enlarge the shape of the waist, replace the collar with something a little more comfortable, move the buttons a little higher on the straps, forget about the belt.
Dudson. A simple and well formed tank.
Morcroft. The cut is beautiful, the sides are attractive, but will add a little spice to the waist.
Vanaja. A very decent boho bag.
Stafford. I find it uninteresting. It has a rough and crooked appearance.
Waterford. The motive for this is pretty good, but the smashed egg doesn't flatter this professional model either.
Stepping. On the bright side, but again, I don't think the over-wrapping effect won't work very well. Breaking it was hard because I knew I made two which I was so unhappy with that I broke it again.
Spod: I love the bold modern look of this design, it's really nice to see the pattern, to understand what it's all about.
Calico. The hidden multilayer effect of this pattern is creatively interesting, but I can't help but think it would work better on an Afghan blanket, as it's a pretty big effect.
Ziana. No matter how much they tried to style this piece, it still looked like layers of random material hanging around the model.
porcelain The "vase teapot" motif is cute, attractive, but not flattering.
Disappointed. Nice dress, but I'll add more buttons because the isolated single button looks very lonely. NO, I AM NOT A PROJECTOR THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Hasin. This is a basic, but fully wearable shirt that can be used as a properly made base.
Minton. I love the "color block effect" of this piece, the side stitch/bead stitch. The design is also good.
Garima. I like the monolithic body concept combined with the shoulder detailing, but here I'm going to use the seamless construction to eliminate the unfortunate shoulder seams in the center of the detailing to make the body more comfortable.
Wedge wood. Wedgwood, Spode, Delft, Minton, Porcelain, Waterford... Rowan made a real turn with this number, with others we have yet to hit. I'm not complaining. I have a bit of a passion for beautiful tableware, and porcelain prints are a great source of inspiration for knitwear designs. I absolutely love this design, or I would have opted for the perfect iron construction here again instead of this low shoulder seam. Or in the case of this particular sweater, adjusting to remove the shoulder seams will be quite difficult, so if you're not experienced enough, you might prefer to do it that way.
Dangdut. Attractive yet neutral case. I love the combination of contrasting textures.
Haviland. This isn't a bad thing at all, though I'd support it.
Eshana. I love the lattice effect of this crochet coat.
coal port. A classic vest with some unusual fabric stitching.
Saguna. It's as simple as it sounds, but sometimes a simple pattern like a sweater is a great choice for great yarn.
Tang , Song , Ming . I like all three pillows but I'm not sure if they should be used together. I might go for a design, change the color of one or two pillows and make the pillow three a solid color or an accent color.
Lanika. I like the body pattern, but this one looks incomplete. Gathered edges always leave you feeling a little tense.
Ainsley. Sharp graphic effects. I can't wait to see it done in a different color scheme.
Olena. Great, though I wish I could have looked at that front to see how they ended.
umnia. Interesting combinations of mosaic stitches, color blocks, or color combinations I don't think are a good fit for the design.
Barley. Attractive summer thistle is beneficial.
Janan. The shoulder blades hurt, and the wings mutated.
Maida. This knit sweater has an elegant modern charm.
Guiana. I can't imagine a case where I want to wrap my jeans in a woven material, let's call it a skirt, for obvious reasons this "skirt" doesn't work very well.
trick. This is funny. The holes in the circular knots of your woven pattern got me thinking about octopus-soaked cups , but quite positively.
Paul. This tank shirt has an eye-catching color on the top of the coat, without the troubled horse. Nice piece for summer.
