Knitscene Fall 2017: A Review

Knitscene has released a Fall 2017 issue. Let's take a look, shall we?

Any spicy sweater. Sometimes in my comments I say that an item that appears to belong to a mother of seven is out of stock and desperate for school at home. This is definitely the design of this lookbook. This time, my mom didn't even bother with the dress, but instead threw a wide, stretchy, shapeless sweater over her nightgown and at the end of the day smeared it somewhere with peanut butter and paplum.

Arkins Bridge. I'm not a big fan of coats but that's pretty cool and the stitching is great.

hiri cardigan The marriage between the cohesive Shaker style of the '80s and the grunge style of the '90s seems particularly unfortunate.

Blake Shell. And here is our leather design. The texture is wonderful.

Brighton Chapel. Beautiful skin.

Chili cardigan. The stitches on the front edges and wrists are nice and look good, but my concern is that the pattern will pull or hold the edges with every stroke.

Blueberry cardigan. This seems so awkward and complicated.

Floppy with sweater. This makes the weaver look fuzzy as if she didn't have enough yarn to tie a full length ribbon on the front ends and decided to cross it as a design element.

Cardigan Hills. Consisting of two flat pieces, this sweater is offered as a combination scarf top and scarf bottom. And I love the concept, but I wish the bottom half of the leggings were better.

Logan Mets. A simple and useful pair of gloves.

October sweater. It appears to have been assembled from point cuts.

Sweater seeds. It wouldn't be too bad if the hanging shoulders were adjusted, but it's nothing to write home about either.

Walnut top. I like the texture of this, but I don't like those wrinkled, twisty edges. I was setting a starting point limit for this bell.

Weston stockings. A pair of classic ankle socks. I would not combine it with a heeled boot.

White cardigan. Some good details on that. The rear looks great. I still wish the body was a bit better, but because of the incomprehensibly annoying problem with the button, this is the best.

Wynkoop Pranga. These hand boots are not as bad as laces and needles, but if you put sincerity in the ankles of the shoes, the dress seems to have delved into a group of mice.
