Knitscene Spring 2018: A Review

Today we take a look at Knitscene’s 2018 spring issue .

Aberdeen jumper. Not bad for everyday look. I straighten my stooped shoulders, tweak the pads a bit, and probably add a belt.

Bonn vest. I see the delicate and translucent texture of this product as a beauty, but it may not be clothing, as the question is how well it sits. I find it rather suspicious that their Ravelry page does not have any image of this design, and I tend to think that this design is not a flattering vest, but rather a beautiful lace curtain with bracelets.

Cardigan with a high neckline . Classic cardigan with a collar - fresh in a youthful modern style.

Hi Carolton. Basic t-shirt. The length of the cut may not suit all women, but it is easy to correct.

Cherry vest. Poor fit can be the difference between a plain cardigan and an attractive cardigan. I would fix it in the fall of my shoulders and give it shape and form.

Cotswold sweater. I like the designer touch: the beautiful lace on the back of the sweater, keeping the front simple and adding triangular seams. This gives this cute sweater a surprise.

Jersey Fullteron. I would fix this problem by shrugging my shoulders and rearranging the adaptive key.

Evil sweater. I love the texture of this as well as the neckline and raglan sleeves. I’m not a big fan of cage length, but if you prefer a more fitted shape and standard length, this would be easy to fix.

Hillwood Sweater. It’s fun in its own way. It mimics a baby sweater, but not too childish to wear by an adult woman. Normally I would recommend fixing lowered shoulders, but in this case they work with colored blocks.

Leo Thermal Mills. This sweater was inspired by the inside of the thermal shirt, and I have to admit that the designer recreated the waffle pattern of the thermal shirt well by adding a few flattering shapes. The result is an attractive and wearable item.

Sweater in the city center. I really like it, with a little doubt: I would make a combination of green and light gray striped sleeves instead of pure green; and I would have practiced V-expression differently so as not to have cum in the middle.

Up Palouse. It has a beautiful, airy, elegant effect. I like the shape and the lace.

Provencal crossover sweater. The wrapping lines of this jumper work very well. The seam of the central sleeve is inconvenient for me, but I do not understand how it can be adjusted without interfering with the effect of wrapping. Instead, I think I would leave the sleeves on the elbows and end up with a ribbed cuff.

Savannah sweater. I really don’t like the unfinished look, this cleavage with open shoulders or those awkward sleeves that reach to the cuff. Probably I like the lace detail below?

High Veronese. If you want to wear a white mohair sweater over a cute t-shirt or other type of underwear, that’s fine. However, this will fix sagging shoulders.

Wilmington jumper. Knitscene has worked very well on the clearer designs in this release. I don’t think this is the length most women prefer, but if it suits you, it’s easy enough to stretch the sweater design to the right length. The rest of the classic sweater is quite attractive.
